Caspian accepted the scroll. Slowly. Carefully. As though touching it might trigger something terrible. The messenger smiled weakly. Not from happiness. From resignation. Like a man who had completed his final duty. Then he died. Just like that. Gone. The room remained silent. No one moved. No one spoke. Thunder shook the sanctuary. Caspian looked down at the sealed message. A terrible feeling settled in his stomach. Slowly... He broke the seal. Opened the report. And read.

"There's never going to be a moment that makes sense. That's not how this works." "Then how does it work?" I don't answer. Because I don't know. I came back with six years of memories and a plan that felt solid until about three hours ago. Now I'm sitting in a stranger's safehouse with a cut on my head and a man who apparently knew I was coming before I did. Nothing makes sense. "The messenger," I say slowly. There was a crackling that came over the ear piece. "Sebastion? Have you made it?" The Henchman came over the comms. Sebastion sighed rubbing his head agitatedly. "Not quite, we've run into a problem. Aspin and Merrick are already on their way back." There was a pause on the comms. He must have went to get the Master. Another crackle. "What's going on?" The deep rich tone of the Master came over.

Angry at the world, angry with everyone. ...... As I slept on the cell, I had a dream. In the dream, there was the Mysterious guy. He was saying something to me. He told me that I don't belong here. I belong to a place, far from Earth. He told me he lived there and will be waiting for me. "Who are you?" I asked. "My name is Alec but if you get there, call me Prince Alec." "Come with your she'll, I'll be waiting for you" he said and disappeared.

Maybe that was why the science team had been able to find and destroy the catalysts in the Packhouse; the spores had found a new host. And perhaps the rest of us would be next. Perhaps, if we didn’t hurry, we would all carry the spores in our lungs. Just then, there was a knock at the door. We exchanged a glance before Chris went to answer it. “Alpha,” a voice said. “The messenger from the crossroad has returned.” Chris ushered the messenger in, and I straightened up, smoothing down my rumpled shirt in an attempt to look more presentable. “What news?” Chris asked.

“You don’t need to know who I am. I already know you and where to find you. I would give you my contact information to stay updated about her matters.” Soon, they were rounding up. Oman put on his red mask again, but not before giving me a small smile. He accepted my and Craig's numbers, promising to contact us soon. By the time we left the room, I wore a wide smile on my face. The mark felt relaxed against my leg, and everything felt natural. Just before we got to the door leading to the main hall, the mark tingled softly under my hand, almost as if warning me. My pulse quickened—and that’s when I saw the shadow run towards the other door and close it quickly.

Leila found a sign pointing to Schtaubersstrasser and followed it. Number 104 was an imposing old house, wooden beams sagging under its age. The Grossman Center next door, though, looked shiny and new, a stark contrast to the old estate. An information board outside announced that the center hosted a conference on mystical artifacts, one of the speakers caught Leila’s attention: a lecture by Prof. Eduard Yellen — E.Y. “Of course,” she muttered under her breath. “E.Y.” “Talking to yourself?” a sharp voice interrupted her thoughts. Leila spun around to see a woman in her forties, wearing a navy coat and mirrored sunglasses.

I muttered underneath my breath as I stepped foot into the building. I walked to the receptionist who seemed to be busy on her computer. She raised her head when I got very close. “Hello ma'am, how can I be of help to you?” She asked, politely. “I have an appointment with the CEO this morning,” I said, maintaining a small smile. She punched on the landline, “Okay, let me confirm it,”she said, her tone brisk. “Thank you,” I replied, softly. She spoke with the other person and her jaw dropped at one as she met my eyes. “I'm so sorry, ma'am. I didn't realize, you are Crystal Morgan, the artist of the year,”she said, awe creeping into her voice.

It was our turn to go through the portal, according to them it would take us to Emrys town where the dark one was. “Take care of my son Susan.” Tasha told Susan who was carrying Jayden. It was more like an order. “I will my Luna.” She gave a slight bow. We waved at Jayden who in turn waved back at us,I held Tasha's hand and we walked up to Elsa who was now creating the portal for us.I felt awkward leaving Jayden and I was scared and prayed that we don't lose this war because of the poor boy. “What's wrong?” I glanced at Tasha when I felt her anxiety.

I wanted to explain, but I did not know how. I lowered my head and turned slightly to the side. When I closed my eyes, a strong sense of familiarity washed over me. It felt like someone was pressing me down in the passenger seat. I was in pain, but the other person paid no attention. I could not remember the rest clearly. I suddenly opened my eyes and breathed quickly. I met Steven’s gaze. I was not sure if it was my imagination, but I thought I saw something else in his eyes. It was quiet and intense, like a hunter watching its prey. Then it disappeared.
