The whole place was covered in thick dust, but the statues were sparkling white, like someone took the pains to wipe them clean every morning.
I could recognize Aphrodite, Apollo, Cupid, but the others were all unrecognizable.
I ran my hands on them, and looked at the crystal orbs on the high shelves, mirroring the light from my candle. Spiderwebs spun around, and it became weirder that only the statues were clean. Grotesque portraits of blood, men murdered in cold blood, and ancient beasts stayed on the wall, but one made me stop to stare at it.
In large, red, spiky letters that seemed to be blood, the word CRYOGEN were written at the bottom.
