Nine is tied up inside a tent. She is weak and the ropes tying her are laced with liquid mercury which is the weakness of her kind. Her hands are slightly burning and she cannot use her magic in this state. She can see a shadow approaching and the familiar, sweet scent hits her nostrils. Damien barges into the tent, looking visibly angry. “Why are they going to Ghi’or?” He snarls at her, his eyes flared up. He tries to look intimidating and dominating to her, hoping to scare the woman but Nine only scoffs.

“Luna, you should know that Martial Saint is the pinnacle of the martial realm.” Luna nodded slowly. The lamia continued, “Once an expert reaches the pinnacle of the Martial Saint realm, they’ll enter a transitional stage known as the Divine Steps!” “Divine Steps?” Luna repeated the words, feeling an inexplicable heaviness. “Yes, the Divine Steps!” A glint flashed in the lamia’s eyes, and her gaze was full of longing. “The Divine Steps are steps leading to the heavens, consisting of nine levels.
