It doesn’t make sense. They’re all loners, more animal than human. A rougarou. Several Loa. Kelpies. A goblin.” He trails off, eyes going wide.

They had the body of a lion and the tail of a scorpion, with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth. The stinger at the end of their tail dripped with dark liquid.

Pearl opened the kitchen door and witnessed utter chaos. She couldn't believe how many things that could possibly go wrong at one time, and she started to wonder just what in the hell she had done to piss the universe off so damn bad lately. Sprites...there were hundereds of stinking ass sprites running amuck in the freaking kitchen. They were nasty little critters with a few human like features. They were ugly and they smelled really bad. They had big, pointy teeth that were green brown and covered in green snot looking slobber. They were scavengers and would steal anything, especially food.
