I ask while breathing hard. “She loses control sometimes. But what you saw has to be kept a secret, someone is after us and I can't let him kill my little sister." He looks like he just might kill someone from that declaration alone. “Relax, mythicals stick together.” His whole body locks up and he gives me a look like I just killed his damn cat. “What?” “How do you know she is a Mythical?” he questions “I saw the light as you were jumping out of the way. Also, Mythicals know when they are in the presence of one another, it is like a gut feeling. People these days call it that at least.”

Many never made it to hunter rank, some joined private security for the rich and others when back to being ordinary civilians. The life of a Hunter is not for everyone, but most still join recruits to give it a try. Hunters are very much admired and respected by others. And let us not forget, very well paid. Hydra are tricky to deal with. They have multiple heads, each capable of creating fire. Fire warm enough to melt any ordinary steel. If you are fast enough you can cut down the hydra before they burn you. But if your not fast then you need the numbers, each hunter fights their own head insuring that another hunter is not hit from the side by one of the other heads.

"Looks like negotiation time is over." Everything happened at once. Kade's forces opened fire on the hunters. The hunters, unnaturally fast, closed the distance with terrifying speed. Hail shoved me behind him and loosed a bolt from his crossbow, catching the nearest hunter in the shoulder, a shot that should have been lethal but merely made the creature stumble. Lena fired precise shots from her position, each bullet finding its mark but doing minimal damage. The hunters didn't bleed like normal humans; instead, a thick, black substance oozed from their wounds.

Arkon continued, “needed assistance. And that is how the Hunters came to be. They were humans, chosen by the Moon God and were gifted divine abilities… strength beyond that of mortal men, speed beyond any Lycan, agility to rival even the vampires themselves. They were also forged a weapon… not just any weapon, a special one, called the Spear of Death.” I froze. My pulse jumped. The words had a weight to them.

" Adrian!!!, You son of a bitch " Smith charged at Adrian but Adrian swiftly blasted him down, He looked around to see all of them slowly rising up to their feets, He knew he would lose this time around because they are all ready. " There will be next time Mysterious, And besides I am not called the Hunter because there are many hunters in this world, I am called the Silver Hunter, Adios peeps! " Adrian stated and he dived into the sky with full force.

Then it happened. A glow ignited beneath Hunter’s skin, spreading like veins of molten gold. His already imposing frame seemed to expand, his golden-brown fur darkening, his eyes flaring with silver fire. A ripple of energy pulsed outward, and I felt it—a force older than anything I had ever known. Hunter wasn’t just shifting. He was awakening. Layla stumbled back, her breath hitching. “No—no, that’s not possible,” she whispered, shaking her head. “Your kind was wiped out. You—You shouldn’t exist!”
