He let out a half-laugh, then groaned. “Legendary huh?” Part of me felt like I should know who or what he was talking about, but I didn’t. “Crescent Wolf. The most feared and sought-after wolf that was said to have been blessed by the Moon Goddess herself.” Still, I didn’t know what he was talking about. I have never heard of such a wolf. Although it kind of made sense considering the way I grew up. I hadn’t exactly been privy to certain information, and it wasn’t like anyone ever really talked to me about things.

“There’s one to the North who lurks in poor villages, Chaos. A creature of his name.” “More?” “Rage, Wrath, Huntsman, Turmoil, Vexation, and Ire. Those are just the ones I know of. There could be hundreds.” “Hmm.” I liked that thought. The idea that the original wolf could be building an army of his sons to overtake the land and bring balance. To end feuding packs and bloodshed against species’. It sounds beautiful. Impossible. But beautiful. *** “We should get back.” Vanquish rolled to his feet and offered me a hand.

“Check this out.” Jasper turned the laptop screen to face us as we gathered around, “It’s a story of Greek mythology on how werewolves were created.” “The first Lycan wolf was created by Zeus, the Greek God as a punishment for committing murder and placed on a deserted island where he was cursed to live a life of solitude and suffering for eternity.” Alpha Allison read aloud the part that Jasper highlighted and looked at us. “That’s all it says?” I wondered, confused by how an entire race came to be of a single Lycan.

"Hello there, beautiful wolf. We mean you no harm. We're just passing through this forest on a journey. What brings you here?" The wolf tilted its head, seemingly understanding Hera's words. It let out a low growl, which Hera interpreted as a friendly greeting. Davien cautiously approached, his eyes filled with intrigue. "We've heard tales of the wisdom of the forest creatures. Is there anything you can share with us?" The wolf's eyes seemed to sparkle as it began to speak. "Greetings, travelers. I am known as Luna, the guardian of this enchanted forest. I have witnessed the ebb and flow of time and have learned many secrets. What knowledge do you seek?"

Burning. Ancient. The smoke peeled back like curtains. And the creature stepped forward. A wolf larger than any nightmare. Fur blacker than void. Chains wrapped across its torso, digging deep into spectral flesh. Each breath came out as a storm of shadows. Fenrak’s blood turned to ice. “No way…” he whispered. It was impossible. It was legendary. It was the thing Rhea had dreamed about—the red-eyed wolf watching from the fog. The myth Kael believed in.

She slowly start eating and felt nauseated. Zayn also picked his plate and start eating the food which was lunch to him. "Don't lose hope. I am sure he will be back. thought of killing his visitor, but found out in time that it was Zeus and invited him to participate in a sumptuous banquet. Everything would have turned out well if it weren't for the fact that Lycaon could not resist the temptation to play a horrible joke on the king of Olympus; he ordered the meat of a boy (presumably a son of his) to be served to him. Zeus noticed, of course, and, in anger, sentenced Lycaon to become a wolf, since all his descendants would also be werewolves. (Today, an African relative of wolves is known as a lycaon.) Lycaon had numerous children -the Lycaonids-, according to some versions 50, they were also famous for their cruelty, Zeus once again found out about th

Jake spoke in a sheepish tone. Glory simply rolled her eyes as she cornered it. “Wolves are descended from the gods, the story was that Deucalion after tricking Zeus was turned into a wolf well him and his sons, and for the most part that is true. But Zeus got the idea from Poseidon, who was at the time cursed by Artemis for killing one of her prize hunting wolves. He was turned into a wolf and through sheer will power and control was able to turn back between a wolf and human forms hence the legend of werewolves was born. Some scholars believe the werewolf made its debut in The Epic of Gilgamesh, the oldest known Western prose, when Gilgamesh jilted a potential lover because she had turned her previous mate into a wolf. Werewolves made another early appearance in Greek mythology with the Legend of Lycaon. According to the legend, Lycaon, the son of Pelasgus, angered the god Zeus when he served him a meal made from the remains of a sacrificed boy. As punishment, the enraged Zeus turned Lycaon and his sons into wolves.

She had to be losing her mind. She looked down at the book again and carefully turned the page. "As only a few mythical creatures can claim," she read, "werewolves have been described throughout different parts of the world for centuries. In the last century, several werewolf sightings have been recorded. The werewolf legend has spread across borders, even across seas and oceans.
