The Charm Of Darkness

The Charm Of Darkness

It was our second anniversary, a time when things were simpler. — From what I read, the legend is about a king of Ancient Greece, Lycaon, who always killed those who stayed in his palace... one night, Zeus disguised himself as an old man, and asked the king for shelter, who somehow discovered that he was Zeus, so as a form of blasphemy and mockery, he served human flesh to the God of Olympus, who cursed him to become a monster, a wolf.

The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

Mathias says that one word, but it resonates deeply creating an awareness that we are unable to comprehend. “Do you remember the story of Inanna, the one we were told about Inanna being promised to another before she met Conri?” Kellen’s voice is low, somber. “Anu had promised his daughter to Aodh the god of the underworld, The reason the wars were started between the gods in the first place.” Mike, myself, and King stare at Kellen. I remember the story all too well. ***** TRAVIS

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

Moon Bride: A Reluctant Wife for the Alpha

It must have been hard for him to take a backseat for me. Rhys nodded his assent and Liz sighed heavily. "The Accords existed long before the Fall. In the days of magic and tales. Some women, and occasionally men, would find themselves in situations that mirrored old stories that came from the Supernatural world. Cinders Ella, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, the Brave Little Tailor." She glanced at Robbie. There was seriously something between them. "All stories collected by the Grimm's, written down, assessed." Robbie continued for her. "All of these tales repeat themselves, continuously. In a loop. Until we are all living some variation. Either the happy ones, or the sinister."

The Alpha’s Contract

Those stories of wars were just myths to them, unless someone brought you in, like Cassandra. Just when I’m ready to give up, I find a story from around twenty years ago about a teenager saving a woman from a monstrous beast.

Absolutely love Taylor West’s writing with this novel! She does warn a person about the cliffhanger at the end which is nice; I do hope there is a follow-up/sequel to this novel as I have so many unanswered questions about the characters!

She was fascinated by the way that different cultures had woven tales of love into the night sky. "And then there's the story of Orion and Scorpio," Eddie said, pointing to two constellations on opposite sides of the sky. "According to Greek mythology, Orion was a great hunter who boasted that he could kill any animal on earth. This angered the goddess Gaia, who sent a giant scorpion to kill him."

she dragged out. "Well the weeks before that, we spent time talking about the history of the Roman and the comparison between the greek and the Roman world." He paused letting that sink in. "Now according to the common myths and all that jazz, the world started with the titan who ate his children so no one could do to him what he did to his father and I'm guessing you also know Zeus ate his father and became the king of the gods and all that, yeah?" He paused again, not looking at her, fighiting the growing urge to glance up at those dark grey orbs.

Legendary Goddess

Legendary Goddess

S-Sophie is one of the legendary goddesses? "So did Sophie survive because she was half a vampire?" Clarence asked. "Yes, but it is also possible because she was a legendary goddess. Because one of the powers of the legendary goddess is immortality. " So the king said. When a creature is a legendary goddess, it means you are higher than the Queen of Goddesses. When you are a legendary goddess, it means you are the GODDESS OF ALL GODDESSES. "So it means that Sophie is the woman referred to in the prophecy? A half-vampire and half-wizard. The first legendary goddess who was a half-vampire and half wizard, and she was also the strongest of all legendary goddesses in the world." I asked, and the

Inevitable Blind Man

Inevitable Blind Man

Unfortunately this is an attitude that comes very late in the history of human development, and even then only to a small minority. Not only individuals but whole cultures feel a compulsion to offer answers when they don’t have any relevant facts. These stories, which are made up to cover gaps in our knowledge, are called myths. Probably the most all-pervasive myths are what are called creation myths, because (even today) nobody can really explain how the universe began, why there should be something rather than nothing, and yet it seems such a fundamental question that surely we must have SOME story to tell about it. The Bantu of Central Africa tell how in the beginning there was only darkn

Leave it to Everleigh to make a person long for their own broody, sexy dragon. Seriously though, I couldn't put this book down. The world this author has created is so vibrant and fun it makes you want to dive in to the pages.

It is the most beautiful thing to do in life with your husband, to pray together. They found peace in praying, they said their adkhars. She laid her head on his lap , finding a peace of heart. He played with her head, the scent blowing his nose. "What do want to eat baby"He asked slowly, unknown to him she was fast asleep. He dropped her on the bed and lay close to her. Sleep took over them. Lukumades, Most European cultures have their version of doughnuts, but Greek loukoumades are arguably one of the tastiest. They're perfectly fluffy fried dough balls topped with Greek honey and cinnamon.
