“I love you, Nikolai.” At Adalina’s words, I grasp her hands in mine, feeling an inexplicable urge to kiss her one last time. Leaning in, our lips meet in a slow and tender kiss, devoid of any rush. As the intensity of the kiss grows, a familiar gnawing sensation stirs in my gut. Her hands glide down my back, urging me closer. Our tongues move in perfect harmony syncing our desires. My breath quickens, my mind becomes consumed, and I am wholly captivated by her presence.

When they finally parted, breathless and glowing, Tyler whispered, “You’re mine.” Nalia smirked and leaned in, brushing her lips against his ear. “And you’re mine. Forever.” Behind them, the ceremonial flames flared higher in approval before dying down to a low, contented burn. The goosebumps on my arm and absolute shocked expression were enough evidence to prove that I was not hallucinating. I lifted my fingers and brushed them lightly across my lips. The essence of his lingering kiss was still there. I could still taste his clean minty breath on my lips. This was real. His kiss was real. Ethan Maxwell was real. Oh my God!
