I warned him as I patted his back when he was hyperventilating. Nate was always one to laugh at the most ridiculous things. He nodded before we both walked into the building and headed to the locker room. Our other comrades stared at us, well me since my top was still transparent. I scowl at them forcing them to break their leering.

"Did you see that?" Jonathan asked excitedly, nudging Amanda's shoulders and pointing to the TV where Naruto was currently playing. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the TV, "yeah I did, that was super cool" she said even tho she has no idea what he was talking about, she hasn't been paying attention to the anime, and not because she didn't want to.

Nate laughed at the silly dare, my stomach easing again. "Simple enough, he's already mad at me." That’s another private joke between them because Shadow likes Marvel movies (his fave superhero is Thor) while Nate is a die-hard Batman fan. “I can’t help being dark,” Nate blurts out, “cause there’s literally a blackout!” They both fall quiet, get into an impromptu staring contest, and then burst out laughing. They laugh so long and hard that Nate finally grips his stomach in pain. But it’s a good kind of hurt. This is like old times with hyung.

“But she’s kinda hot when she’s acting like that. You know?” Chris stared at him, folding his lips while merely nodding along. “Go ahead. Laugh all you—” Loud laughter poured over his face before Nate even finished his statement of permission. The sound echoed around the grunt-filled weight room from nearby athletes. His teary eyes crinkled at him. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," His friend said, still laughing. What’s so funny about it? Nate will never understand. “I swear. It's just...Come on; you've got to admit that it's kind of funny. You are chasing after a girl who doesn’t want you at all. Hey! She’s you in this scenario.”
