I saw a beautiful future and it turns out that you are still in that future." “What do you mean I'm still in the future?” Jayden smiled slightly. "When I read your future for the first time, I didn't see you, but only saw myself and Serena holding hands. And now I realize that I was seeing through your eyes, which is why you weren't there back then."

Chapter Forty-eight. Diana's pov Finally, I got him to read my future, I clapped my hands and rubbed them together in excitement, “So what do we have to do?" He carried a box filled with things to the corner, “Before you can see your future, there is something we need,” his elbow rested on his other hand while the other hand stroked his chin. I stared at him in confusion. What did he mean when he said I'll see my future? “Aren't you the one to read into it and tell me?" I asked.

I need to know if you can handle my truth. "No matter how crazy it is, I will believe you." He answered. My heart had calmed down and I was ready to talk. "I'm not from here. I'm not the real daughter of Saitō Dōsan." I started off. We sat up and faced each other. His eyes beckoned for more. "I am from the future where Japan is a united country and there are no more wars between its provinces. A place where technology is advance and the people are modernly civilized." I continued. His eyes widened when he heard about it.

Tay whispers in my ear, sending chills up and down my spine. “As much as I would love to help you, sister-in-law, but I don’t have a death wish,” Nate says while stealing Future’s sandwich without her even noticing. My lips form a smile. Future is playing with her drink’s straw—she looks like she is battling with her thoughts and I make a mental note to ask about what bothers her later on. “Death wish?” I ask.

That terrified me and even as I left the building after leaving my kids with Iris who said she would be staying there for a few days, I felt my heart racing as eight words kept flashing through my mind “The future is here and it’s not changing.” Those words reminded me of my goal. The need to change the future and now that Mia Lu was down, I wouldn’t know how soon the war I saw in my visions would break out. It could be tomorrow or the next week– Raien could die soon. Oh goddess, no! “What are we doing, Relia? We have to have a solid plan. We can’t keep going with the flow.” Inara was also panicking within me.

Katherine broke the hug, wiped her tears and smiled with determination and said 'We have to win, not just for a better future for us but also for the horrible past of those who have suffered on the hands of Earthlings. Alex just smiled and they hugged once again seeking peace in each other's embrace and conveying each other's pain in silence. After that Kaylee left for her room and Alex was again deep in his thoughts he just couldn't forget the smell and the moment of someone watching him in the library kept replaying in his mind

Was it possible that she was older? Before I could stare at her, mouth open wide, she added "Aren't you going to ask?" "About?" To that, she beamed and I'm sure the look on face told her I was clueless as to why she was smiling. "Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be in your position, have my future be told to me." "So it's true-" "Yes, Nobody can read a Kriona. We can see futures of almost everybody but we cannot see ours. No one can. It is a blessing especially after having to bear the burden of the possible futures of others. Imagine what would happen if we knew ours."

The sun had risen higher, casting soft golden light through the trees as we sat cross-legged beneath the old oak. She laughed nervously before reading. "Dear Future Me, today I promised myself something: I’m going to stop having a crush on Kian. He doesn’t even know I exist, and he’s way too old for me anyway. He’s, like, a senior, and I’m still figuring out how to write an essay without crying. But he has the kindest smile, and he helps Mrs. Hall carry books after class. That has to mean something." My future self is sure about it.” “Oh, really!” It wasn’t too late to answer him in his way. In the afternoon, I mysteriously receive a text message from myself seven years in the future. Thinking it's some kind of new scam, I don't even bother reading it before replying, "Get lost, scammer!" However, the sender sends a photo of an empty bottle of sleeping pills and replies, "I'm not a scammer, but I really am dying. Break up with Crystal. Today will be the first day she cheats on you.
