Ronan’s POV Leaves snapped under my boots. Branches whipped at my shoulders. The basket of mushrooms swung violently from my wrist, and I didn’t even notice until it caught on something and tore away, spilling its contents into the undergrowth. I didn’t care. Nyra’s skin was burning through my shirt. Her muttering grew louder, then softer, then louder again, like the words were fighting to get out. “Nyra, hold on,” I told her, breathing hard. “Just hold on.”

As Kiran tried to guess the reason for her satisfaction, he felt a tightness in his chest. Looking down, he saw that Jenny's face had turned pale. He realized that Lady Meiji had chosen this moment to attack, intending to disrupt their concentration. "Damn it!" Kiran cursed, breaking free from Lady Meiji's mental control. Despite his efforts, both he and Jenny felt their internal energy become chaotic, ultimately spitting blood and falling unconscious on the bed.

An opponent clouded by anger is an easy one to defeat. “You BITCH!” Narin roars, his anger filled eyes directed at me. I smirk, waving my hand in a come hither motion and wait for his attack. This seems to have pissed him off further as he rushes me, his nails already turned into claws.
