Gracie I’m staring at the bookshelves that morning when Natalie walks in and shocks me out of my solemn mood. She laughs when she walks around my table and takes the free seat opposite mine. “What’s happening?” she asks with her usual smile, then flips her hair over one shoulder. It’s my first day back at work after returning to Golden Bay two days ago, and it feels good to be back in my safe space. I spent the past two days working on my book. It’s getting harder to work on my characters when their story feels so similar to mine. I want a happy ending, but then my main male character, Nate, is the kind of man who doesn’t believe in love just like Trevor.

My mother's spiteful words ring in my head and I can't will myself not to believe it. Just as I get in the zone, I’m snapped out of my workflow by the sound of heels clicking on the floor loudly. I look up to find Natalie walking past my office, her short blonde hair perfectly straight and her makeup as impeccable as always. I’ve seen her at a variety of events on television, and she always looks as though she walked straight out of a fashion magazine. She’s exactly the kind of woman someone like Nicholas would marry. I shouldn’t envy her, but a small part of me does.

She's typing something on the keyboards of a series of monitors. Natalie is a professional hacker. I learnt every trick from her and she's good at it. Makes me wonder why I haven't asked her to aid me find my birth parents' murderer yet. The reason finally hits me. Oh, yeah, she's not keen on the idea of revenge and she's very expensive. Being related doesn't mean free services.

It was almost 1:00 am when she'd washed up. She got into bed and turned on her phone to reply to some texts. She then scrolled through her social media, dutifully liking Hannah's funny moments on set and Isabel's aesthetic photos. After that, she refreshed her news feed, only for Natalie's post to come into view. It was a photo of the latter shaking hands with another famous floral designer in the industry. The caption read, "Shout-out to Mr. Sinclair for pulling the strings! It's my honor to collaborate with Blake Johannson!"

He wanted to relax for sometime, now. After, Nick and the other's had left, someone walked in the club. It was none other than Natalie Samrat aka Fuoco. She had covered herself properly and dressed in such a way so that nobody could make out if she was a girl or boy. She walked to the entrance of the Club, it was a large Four-storey buliding with an impressive exterior. There was a statue of a knight on a horse just outside the building, surrounded by small fountains in a circular pattern. In big bold letters, "The dark Knight club" was written besides it.
