I continued, running a hand over my chin briefly as I thought about the conversation again, “she’s writing her book, properly this time, not just for herself.”
Natalie’s expression softened almost immediately, something thoughtful settling in her gaze as she took that in.
“That’s good,” she said after a moment, nodding slightly. “That’s actually very good.”
I glanced at her, watching the way she processed it, the way her mind seemed to move ahead of the words she hadn’t said yet.
“She needs that,” Natalie continued, stepping closer before sitting beside me, “not just to clear her name, but to take control again.”
I nodded faintly, because she wasn’t wrong.
