"Yes, exactly. Talako was the name his parents gave him at birth. It was a native american name, one from the Choctaws. His parents were killed, but made sure to keep him safe. They sent him off with a friend of his mother's. To protect him, she renamed him Joseph and raised him as her own, though she always called him by that name in private.
