Cattenach Ranch

Cattenach Ranch

"This whole section needs replacing. We can work down the line." "Okay." Nate followed the foreman's cues. They used a sledgehammer on the boards that were rotten or loose, then Nate held the new section while Nakos nailed them in place. They got a few done before Nate spoke again. "Where's the reservation?" "Between here and the Thunder Basin National Grasslands." Nakos pointed due north. "Arapaho tribe." Nate had never heard of it. He and Justin had served with a guy who was part Cherokee, but that was the extent of Nate's knowledge on Native Americans. "What's that phrase you say to Olivia every morning?"

The Beta's Scarred Mate: A Loner to Luna Prequel

The Beta's Scarred Mate: A Loner to Luna Prequel

from every warrior and we walked away. The four of us walked back to the pack house and we went to the office. Andrew broke out the chart for the mall, and we all walked into the conference room where we could spread out. The giant chart was unrolled and I started studying it while Jacob started pointing out what stores were going in and where they would be going. I told them, “I need you to keep a couple slots open on the first floor. Honi and her family want to start a store with authentic Native American tribal pieces. Proceeds from the sales of each piece sold will go to the reservations they came from.” Andrew smiled, “I really like that idea.” Jacob smil

Mated to the Ancient Alphas' Son

Mated to the Ancient Alphas' Son

Before they finally settled down here in Chicago. They are from an endless line of dark-skinned Native Americans. The Creek Tribe! My mom’s family are all mixed up. They are part of the light-skinned Choctaw Tribe, also Irish and African. Seeing us walk in. They all looked up, stunned. I see them sniff the air deeply. They gasp, their eyes go wide with shock. They gaze bewildered at each other. My heart is beating so fast right now. I know I have to tell them about us now. But a part of me sort of feels like they have a clue as to why we are here. By how they’re looking at us right now. I greet them shyly, smiling nervously. I wave. “Hey, y’all..”

Alpha of the Peak

Alpha of the Peak

The teacher closed the door behind the last student and turned to the class. “Greetings, everyone. I am Ms. Macawi Enapay. Please feel free to call me Miss En. To introduce you to other cultures of this area I’ll start with myself. I am what is commonly referred to here as a Sasquatch or bigfoot. We are not our own species, but are born from humans that carry one of three bloodlines that originated in some of the native populations prior to colonization of the continent. There have been studies that have found a very distant genetic link to others around the world like the Yeti and Orang Pendek. I was born into a native tribe not far from here and, no, my parents were not also Sasquatches.”

The American

The American

"So, Adina, if you don’t mind me asking, how do you and Ethan know each other?" "We go to the same university," I answered politely. "Oh, that's nice; where do you come from?" "I am from Nigeria." "How old are you?" "I am 20 years old." "Can you tell me what your father and mother do for a living?" "Both my parents are entrepreneurs." "That’s good and what types of businesses do they both deal with." "My dad has a chain of hotels around the world while my mom deals with the trade of our traditional attire." "Oh, so that would mean you come from a wealthy family."

Freakn' Shifters

Freakn' Shifters

"You stole three Americans!" yelled his tribe's alpha. "We acquired them and left an appropriate bride price," Acat countered. "You were supposed to raid a village with those dowries, not a campsite," his leader, who doubled as his father, ranted as he paced the clearing set amidst the towering trees, which, according to legend, housed the spirits of his ancestors. "We have rules about not going near foreigners. Do you have any idea of the chaos this is causing? The attention you've brought on us?"

The Extraordinary Luna

The Extraordinary Luna

"Pardon me, Alpha Seth! Would you just give us a moment? When a voice greeted them from behind, Seth and Edith's steps came to a stop. Seth turned and saw a guy and a woman with eagle feathers on their hair, dressed in Native American attire. Both smiled warmly, and Seth returned the favour by smiling as well. "We are Alpha and Luna of The Moon Warrior pack. I am Alpha Chocise and she is Luna Simi. We helped your mother give birth when you were born on our tribe's reservation."

I was never Human

I was never Human

My fingertips gently caressed the cover as my eyes never left it. "My family has had this heirloom in the family for generations. Fathers would pass it down to their sons, but all of their children knew about it. It was the son's responsibility to carry it forward, since they would be the ones to carry the name. It was told that we were entrusted with something very important. A secret... a weapon... and one day the person that gave us this responsibility would return. Talako was the name of one of my ancestors on my father side. He was a Choctaw, but ended up leaving due to his parents being killed. His mother gave him to a friend. Some natives were wolves, but not all of them. The wolves p

Sylvain murmured. "Do you know how werewolves came into being?" I found myself asking because I didn't find it fair that I shared my heritage with him and received nothing in return. If he was getting to know what made me the person I was, then I deserved that too. Right? If only it didn't make me feel like a selfish bitch. "The Native American tribes believe that they were blessed with the ability to shift from man to wolf and back to protect their lands and people. They have a lot of legends and I'm beginning to think they may be onto something considering my sister has their legendary fire wolf residing within her."

Beautiful & Battered

Beautiful & Battered

I look over at him from behind the book. "The most important crop among native Americans?" I speak in a single breath as seconds fly by. Plinio pops one knuckle and replies after thirty seconds have passed. God, give me patience! "Tobacco," he answers his own favorite thing in the world instead. I have to try hard to suppress my chuckle at that. "Wrong. Maize." I say eyeing his body language. It appears as if he's trying his best to not give the right answer. "Name the treaty for the division of the new world?"
