I mean come on, they destroyed a fucking pack for nothing! Turns out Nicole burned out all her powers trying to learn necromancy. She used up all her energy on that trash and she wasn’t able to do much more. They were able to get ahold of her spell book and burn it. The council immediately put some strict laws in place for witches who practice raising or controlling the dead.

-SHAUN- The conversation was getting so, so interesting since Kai was here. And this guy, Luke what took you so long. "Searching--- Behind the shadows---Change is possible" as Kai read the titles of the books one by one, the books that have has been displayed on the table between us. "Finding God and finally Sorrow --- all written by Jeremy Gloss himself," he finished with a smile as he glanced back to meet my threatening gaze. "You had these, huh. Sadly, the author died before these fictitious books were known to the world." Kai added.

But the problem is, my mind and my mouth never seem to agree. "I know you're Valtor" I announce. Asher rolls his eyes "yeah-" I don't let him finish "I know about The Book of Sacrimboniamat, and you being a Necrif, and the Eron, and Eribiss." I say confidently. Asher's eyes widen, I can tell he's getting worried, satisfied I continue

But the moment it touched my skin, it evaporated like smoke in the wind. “Still won’t take it,” he murmured, shaken. “It’s like your magic’s being… redirected.” “Into what?” Azric growled. But no one had an answer. ***************************************** Later, when the chaos settled and Nyra’s blood was wiped from the floor, she summoned us to my quarters. The old book—that book—was open on the floor before her, pages scattered like bones. But one page near the end was… different. Blackened. Burned.

Then, I turned around. I saw him standing with a deadpan and impassive expression on his face in the periphery, out of my cloak, and a few meters away. I had a glance-over with the beast, his face unreadable, fire cracks on his face were that of neon crimson fire, his eyes extraterrestrial grey. It looked like he was trying to dig a hole in my head with his gaze. I lost my focus for a second.
