Perhaps she is finally seeing that she doesn’t have to hide anymore. I know shadows, darkness, and death have always been a part of my life. I’ve never feared any of it. I’ve used the shadows and darkness to hide in plain sight when I’m on missions. I command the shadows to teleport me where I want. I can manipulate them to bend to my will. I'm a necromancer. I play with death by stopping people from dying, bringing them back to life if necessary, and even taking their life. My ability as a necromancer allows me to remove souls directly from their bodies. It’s why I get the complex missions.

They may chuckle to themselves when they successfully control a spirit or summon a powerful entity, but their laughter is often tinged with a sense of malevolence or darkness. The powers of a necromancer are vast and varied, depending on the individual's level of skill and experience. In general, necromancers are able to manipulate the energies of the dead, using their powers to animate corpses, summon spirits, and create powerful wards or enchantments. They may also be able to see and communicate with ghosts or other supernatural entities, and some necromancers are able to travel through the realm of the dead itself.

My eyes scanned the walls, searching for any hidden symbols, secret passages, or subtle anomalies that might reveal a clue. I feel myself tense, my babies start to move in an uncomfortable way, and I lay on the grass trying to find a position that would calm them. As I look back to Caleb, I see him blowing more deadly fire at Ignitious, causing him to shield himself. I hear whimpers and my head snaps to the origin of it, there I see the necromancer I hurt, leaning to the big object, and pouring his blood into it. The symbols start to glow, and the strange object seems to react to the liquid by absorbing it. I watch in shock how the creature drains himself of his life essence to give the machine-like object, life.

THE NECROMANCER Necromancy is the practice of magic or black magic involving communication with the dead – either by summoning their spirits as apparitions, visions or raising them bodily – for divination, imparting the means to foretell future events, discover hidden knowledge, to bring someone back from the dead, or to use the dead as a weapon. Sometimes referred to as "Death Magic", the term may also sometimes be used in a more general sense to refer to black magic or witchcraft. It is a practice to make a dead person alive, show it puppeteers, and the act of controlling an empty vessel such as the dead body of a person.
