Her voice sounded weak even to her own ears. They kept walking and the crowd pushed them forward. Juliet's mind raced. That one look from across the hallway left her breathless and aching. She pressed her thighs together as she walked, trying to ignore the warmth still spreading through her. More students passed and two guys in hoodies talked loudly. One said, "Did you hear about the new Literature professor? Knight, right?" The other laughed. "Yeah, people are saying he ruined his last university over a woman. Some student things. What do you need?” “I’m interested in Professor Elena Thompson’s lectures,” Ren said smoothly. “She gave a fascinating talk this morning, and I’d like to know if she’s teaching any upcoming seminars or classes that are open to visitors.” The man smiled, clearly pleased by the interest. “Professor Thompson does have a talent for captivating an audience,” he said. “She’s leading a seminar on comparative mythology next week. It’s a bit niche, but if you’re interested in folklore, it’s worth attending.”
