I can't be considered a nerd by guys and still be in a relationship with one. Matt is not a nerd. He's a nice guy. He's funny and unlike Jason, he takes his studies seriously. Plus, he's not as blunt as Jason, and he's sweet. He'll do. Back to Jason, like I said to him... calling his name is bad enough for me. Maybe, I'll resort to he-who-shall-not-be-named. I fight back a laugh as the thought comes to my head. Then I look at Jason who's glaring.

The same bartender nerd with the old cracked phone and glasses that slipped down his nose every five seconds. Two days ago, I’d sworn to myself I wasn’t going to go through with this. No way in hell. Tutors were for people who failed, not for people like me who just... didn’t care. But here I was, staring at a nerd in a white body shirt and black trousers, who looked like he’d been pulled out of one of those “hot nerd makeover” scenes in a rom-com. And damn, did he look good.

Jaxon. God, even his name sounded like trouble. The golden boy of campus. Hockey captain. Broad shoulders, sharp jawline, hair that always fell effortlessly into place like some commercial. If by studying hard and being serious in class makes me a nerd, then, so be it. And that too if we are studying one of Shakespeare's most romantic plays, you can't expect me not to concentrate and act like those who are not interested in class. And then some dickhead decides to disturb me. I groaned.

He murmurs and shakes his head. "If you want to be technical about it, a nerd is an unattractive, socially awkward, annoying, undesirable, and/or boring person." His hand tightens on my leg, "You're not boring, annoying or socially awkward. You are definitely not undesirable. And the fucking opposite of unattractive." I shrug, I don't think I'm ugly, but I'm not stunning.

Nerdy, not really. That's if we're going by Merriam Webster's definition of nerdy. Nerdy; a person who behaves awkwardly around other people, usually has unstylish hair, clothes, etc. Yes, yes I just defined something from the dictionary like an actual student. Every since Aaron found out I was failing he's stuck to me like glue. Tutoring me, asking me random educational question, helping me do my assignments over the phone and pasting sticker notes all other the house before a test. Its been really sweet of him especially when Ms Jenkins turns on me thinking she's helping when she's not really. If a girl likes fashion and makeup, she’s vain and shallow. Bullshit. Fashion and makeup are some of my interests, and I’m also a literature nerd and a badass fighter who can kick the shit out of most guys on my 4-inch heels. Those things are not contradictory, they’re just part of who I am.
