“I don’t think your people want me here. Maybe I should leave.”
His jaw worked behind the mask, a muscle twitched. “Their opinion about you shouldn’t concern you,” he blurted out, his voice soft. “So take out that option of leaving from your mind, because I’m not letting you go.”
I stared at him. The mask shadowed his expression, but I could feel the heat coming from him—anger radiating like a pulse. But why did he care? Why wouldn’t he let me go? I was the omega that every one hated, the murderer, the witch, so why isn’t he hating me like the others?
