My nails lengthened into claws, my teeth sharpened, and my skin rippled as fur bloomed across my arms. Neva emerged. She stood tall and regal, her fur shimmering like moonlit frost, her eyes burning with a fierce blue glow. Her paws dug into the earth, anchoring her as the storm of light danced around us. She howled—loud and violent—a sound that cracked through the air like lightning splitting a mountaintop. People began to gather outside the tomb, drawn by the power. Luna Valarie stumbled back, her eyes wide. And then—she did something no one had ever done to Neva.

Now the fur was gone from my skin, but I was still traumatized. "You should answer when an Alpha asks you," reprimanded Rutherford, and I sighed. "So, she's Luna?" I said, pointing to the annoying girl who was staring at me with disgust. "Prospective Luna," Rutherford corrected, while Ikaros answered with a short 'yes.' "I understand now," I said coldly. So, this guy touched me just for his own pleasure, because he already had that snobbish woman as his partner. "Do you want some bread, perhaps? You look really pale and unhealthy," Rutherford said, ignoring the cold tone in my voice.

"You're dreaming. We're still mates. Even if you go to the alliance to dissolve our bond, I'll never sign it off!" Amy gasped dramatically. "By the Goddess! How can a Luna betray her mate like this? Aren't you afraid of being judged by the entire werewolf community?" That only boosted Johnny's confidence. He scoffed and looked down at me. "Carla, I never thought you'd go so far just for my attention. You even broke our bond while the contract is still valid! I'm really disappointed in you. I think Amy should take over as Luna for now. Keenan's POV: Having Nivea at my side as my Luna was a relief, however I kept having this feeling something was going to go wrong. "Hey everything ok?" Nivea asked while rubbing circles on my arm, my wolf purred at our mate's touch. "Yes my love, everything is fine. I am just hoping this goes smoothly. " I confided. "Me too. You hungry? " She asked.
