Emma later went upstairs to her brother's room. James' room was filled with things that he had insisted on carrying from Mina's place. He adores his things and wishes to take them with him wherever he goes. Emma faked a gasp seeing the room. On the bed, the blankets were covered by plushies and coloring books while color packs were laid on the nightstand unevenly. Mina had spoiled him a lot. Emma began to organize her brother's belongings. She placed the plushies on the bed, and neatly stacked the coloring books and packs on the nightstand. When she finished, she stood back and felt a warm wave of nostalgia wash over her.

Jessa’s apartment was unusually quiet, the kind of silence that made every second feel longer than it actually was. Jessa stood by the window, her arms crossed tightly and her eyes staring at the skyline though she wasn’t really seeing it. She was thinking. Everything was supposed to be going according to plan but Max Hult’s actions were making it complicated. “Do you think Max Hult is out of his damn mind?” she asked suddenly, breaking the silence. Her voice was sharp, frustrated and almost incredulous.

Like she had always moved through the world this way and the nineteen years of floor scrubbing and storage room sleeping and public humiliation had happened to someone else entirely. It would appear that they had been double crossed and the kidnappers took the money and ran. It would also seem they let Grayson live to boot. Good.

I need to be very careful in dealing with everyone. Kent left early to get back to work. He needed to put back the beauty and enthusiasm of the Zeus Palace. Everything turned upside down when my father-in-law Alexander and Mr. Sherlock got involved in Cassandra's murder case. I know everything ended brilliantly. Our life is getting back to normal again after all the dramas but I want to end it smoothly with no regrets and hatred in my heart. I walked downstairs and saw my baby Austin eating so lively with Nora. He saw me and he cheered up like he's enjoying his food.
