THE CEO ALREADY KNEW

THE CEO ALREADY KNEW

A woman in Japan, who had survived a surveillance state, who had started a garden to heal. Your words helped me plant, she wrote. Not flowers — hope. I wrote back: Hope is a seed. It needs soil. You've given it that. --- Celeste — my sister — published her fifth novel. A love story, set in a garden, about two women who meet late in life and learn that it's never too late to stay. It was her most successful book yet, reaching readers who had never heard of Oracle or the letters or the women who had changed everything.

One Percent Too Late

One Percent Too Late

" I had no answer. In the twenty years I had been bound to him, I had seen everything. At first, he had only been chasing mission progress. In the end, step by step, he had fallen in. He loved her beyond saving. I was about to say something else when there was movement at the entryway. Vivian had come home. She waved away the heavy smoke. Her gaze landed on the shattered plates on the floor before finally moving to Simon, who was still smoking. Vivian frowned, impatience in her voice. "Didn't you quit smoking ten years ago? Why are you smoking again? You know I hate the smell. "You broke those things. Clean them up yourself."

Thirty Years Too Late

Thirty Years Too Late

All she ever received in return was the cold voice of an automated recording. She had sent countless messages explaining herself and begging for forgiveness. Every single one disappeared without a response. She sat there quietly. The entire world felt silent, as though she were the only person left in it, swallowed whole by loneliness and helplessness. Then, in the dead silence of the night, the sound of the keypad lock disengaging suddenly echoed through the house. Claire jolted as joy flooded her face almost instantly. "Nathan..." She stumbled toward the door and yanked it open. "Nathan, I knew you would—"

Too Late To Beg

Too Late To Beg

"Yes. And the funny part was that I did not even know." I looked up at him. "I forgot everything," he continued. "Everything about you, about us, about what we had. It was just gone. And this book sat in a box in my apartment for years and I never thought to look at it because I did not remember that it mattered." I wanted to call him a liar. Wanted to throw the book at his face and tell him that whatever story he was trying to sell, I was not buying it. But I could not speak. Could not do anything except sit there with my diary in my lap and my throat tight and my eyes burning.

My Stepbrother's Dirty Little Secret

My Stepbrother's Dirty Little Secret

His cane tapped softly against the marble. He stopped only a few feet away, his eyes searched my face, then my hands, then my feet, "What is this called?" My lips felt dry, "The Four Lives I Never Chose." He waited. I looked across the gardens, "The first girl grows up afraid of her own home. The second mistakes a cage for love," I swallowed, "The third finally finds someone worth loving... and never gets to keep him. And the last girl loses the only person who ever made her feel safe."

I absolutely adored this book and loved it so much. Raphael and Gianna's story was so good with the twists, the turns, the suspense, the sweet moments, the hard moments, basically all the moments. If you love mafia stories then I highly recommend this book and Jane's other books. You wont regret it.
Melena Kisling
I watched about a thousand ads to read this book and it was totally worth it! An epic love story, .................. sex scenes and lots of humor. My favorite parts were actually the family dynamics at meals and Rafael's interactions with his therapist. I did get a little impatient with Gianna's messes

Too Late for Regret

Too Late for Regret

The upward inflection of the ending note carried that unique Sicilian pity— “See? That’s the poor thing who was mistakenly declared dead in the gang war and crawled back out of the gutter.” In this circle, Elena was the rose consecrated with holy water; I was the dried-up desert thorn. My existence was merely a family concession to the outside world: “Look, we didn’t neglect our own flesh and blood.” How utterly ironic. The departure day finally arrived. I booked a red-eye flight, taking off at 01:15 AM. I told no one.

Too Late for Regrets

Too Late for Regrets

Lynn could whip up a nutritious, delicious, and healthy broccoli and chicken breast meal in just a few minutes. Meanwhile, the pastries I spent hours baking were junk food that ended up in the trash. Zachary had a good memory and looked embarrassed when I corrected him. "I was young. I didn't know better. Can't you give me a chance? Aunt Lynn doesn't care for me at all. She doesn't even know that I'm allergic to peanuts, and she doesn't know what I like or don't like. I've always regretted it when you left, Mom. You've always been the one who loved me the most."

Too Late for Regret: My Husband and My Son

Too Late for Regret: My Husband and My Son

Like my life lately there was still light, but it was no longer whole. Vivienne. The name surfaced again, pressing mercilessly against my chest. I thought I had made peace with the past. I thought I was mature enough to understand that everyone had a story before I came along. But reality was never that simple. Not when that old story returned with a fragile body, a deadly illness, and a special place in the heart of the man who I believed had chosen me.

Sorry, Too Late

Sorry, Too Late

He was given two choices—death and a life worse than death; he chose the former. Hazel and the others' faces turned even paler upon that realization. Regret alone wasn't the worst part of the toxic concoction of it all. The worst part was that they had finally woken up to reality, but it was too late. They wanted to make things right, but the person they needed to make it up to wasn't there anymore. That was what truly hurt. "Go… Hurry… If you wait any longer, it'll be too late!" Suddenly, urgent shouts came from outside the villa, along with the rumble of moving trucks passing by.
