New Blood:the Blood Moon Saga Series Novels & Stories

Without saying a word she opens the door allowing a boy to walk in and my breath nearly catches in my throat when his blue eyes land on me. Jaxson Ravenwood. Classmate, shifter, and future Alpha of the North American pack. His white blonde hair falls messily over his icy blue eyes. He's more muscular than your average shifter and even I can't help but admire him. I feel something, I can't quite tell what it is, stir inside me and I instantly get one of my famous migraines as he flashes Ms. Foster a killer smile.

He said, waving for me to follow him. “Oh, fun.” My voice was heavy with sarcasm as I flipped my black fedora on and followed him out. The drive to the Shelton house in Bloodmoon took about two hours. It was a quiet neighborhood. Though I expected that Bloodmoon would be a peaceful place for years, I think the last time something big went down here was the massive ‘earthquake’ the Incubi Luna caused when her kid sister, the now Delta female of Bloodmoon, was kidnapped. Maybe that’s why vampires and other species have issues with wolves. The kind of power some of them possess is crazy.

He asked her with a look of astonishment on his face. “Yes.” She replied. “I want you to sign it. I don’t trust you, Draven.” She told him and moved back. “And you think I will succumb to a mere human?” he asked her with a smile. “Let’s just say I don’t want to take any chances.” She simply said to him and gave a warm smile, a smile filled with deception and murderous intent. With an elongated finger, he dug into his palm and watched as blood seeped from it. Then he allowed the few drops of blood to fall on the paper, creating a beautiful red pattern, before his wound healed at a very fast pace.

Scrolling, my pulse quickened as I read snippets aloud. ‘In old folklore, the Bloodmoon marks a night of awakening. When the veil between worlds thins and the primal ties of fate are revealed…’ My eyes caught on the last part, ‘an ancient bloodline awakens.’ ‘…Some believe it is when the ancient bloodline that has been extinct for thousands of years will be reborn. On the hundredth Bloodmoon the ancient bloodline will awake once more.’ “Huh.” I swallowed my throat dry. I pushed back from my desk rubbing my temples. “This is all ridiculous. A Bloodmoon doesn’t exist, it’s just something that exists in stories, stories you tell your children as a ghost story.”

The kingdom rises in flashes: matriarchal halls carved into living rock, moon-phase rituals under open skies, silver-forged weapons that only our blood can wield without burning. Centuries blur—prosperity under the Blood Moon Accords, alliances with wary covens and enclaves, the Aria Ritual naming newborn wolves in lyrical songs. Then darkness: the Eclipse Wars, the scorned witch’s curse twisting love into betrayal. I live it all—Selene’s desperate battles, Draven’s fall to the shadow beast, the Fractured Howl that splintered our kingdom. The loophole discovered too late: silver suppression to cage the beast, a blood moon ritual with a true mate to break it forever.

I said, but something cold had settled in my stomach. Because this felt like an escalation. Like Jadis was done playing games and moving on to more serious manipulation. And if she was willing to stage accidents and make false accusations now, what would she be willing to do next? That afternoon, we had our monthly moon worship ceremony. It was a simple ritual, just the pack gathering in the sacred grove to give thanks and ask for blessings. Usually, it was one of my favorite pack traditions. Today, I just wanted to get through it without any more drama.

She takes my hand, and the moment her skin touches mine, my head snaps back and everything fades— ⸻ We’re standing on an empty airfield, chaos erupting around us. Our people clash with humans and sharply dressed rogues. But it’s the glowing eyes watching from the forest that tell me—we’re not alone. Then suddenly, both Drake and I drop. Darts pierce our throats. Our hearts still. We don’t move again. Baylee and Caden come sprinting across the road, their screams echoing through the air. But the fight doesn’t stop—it gets worse.

Could feel the burn of it like a physical touch. "Silence," he commanded even though no one had been speaking. The room fell further into a hush that shouldn't have been been possible. I guess some people held their breaths. "Three days from now," Kaelen began, his voice carrying effortlessly through the vast space, "we honor one of our oldest traditions. The Blood Hunt." Excited murmurs rippled through the wolves. The humans went very, very still. Oh no… I've heard about the blood hunts and they are never good.

She knew she could not fight Morgath alone. "Fine," she said finally. "But the second this is over, I never want to see you again." I nodded. It was more than I deserved. Elena cleared her throat. "Good. Now that we have that settled, we need to talk about what happens next. The blood moon is three weeks away. If we do not stop Morgath before then, the curse will spread to every werewolf in existence. They will lose their wolves permanently." "How do we stop him?" Calista asked.

This was really deep trouble like he had said. This was disastrous. The Moon Crescent Pack and Bloodmoon pack had been at war with eachother for a very long time. But yesterday the Moon Crescent had come to the Bloodmoon pack and extended a peaceful alliance. But now that Ronan had killed one of their warriors, it would only fuelled the battle. The air disappeared from my lungs. "Ronan—"
