Jake and I will handle the creatures.” Jake looked like he wanted to argue, but the determined set of my jaw stopped him. “Fine,” he said tightly. “But don’t you dare get yourself killed.” The first spider we encountered was in the main foyer. It was even larger than the one from my dream, its hulking form nearly filling the room. Its legs were impossibly long and jagged, slicing through furniture like paper. A young pack member, no older than twelve, was backed into a corner, her terrified sobs cutting through the air.

“This guy is…” My voice trailed off when I looked at him. Standing in a transparent office with a coffee mug in his left hand and a bagel in his right was the man I saw last night. His attention was on the two officers addressing him. I read out the words emblazoned on the door of his office and gasped — LIEUTENANT JOEL HARPER. My hands moved on instinct and took out the card he'd left me last night. It didn't say NYPD. Instead, it said SPIDER LILY. Holy shit.

It didn't disappear, but it became smaller than the life they were creating. They had called a truce. A real one. Liam had cut his hours. He came home for dinner every night. He left his phone in the foyer. They were trying. "Papa, you're doing it wrong," a small voice said. Ethan walked into the room. At seven years old, he was stretching out, losing the toddler softness and gaining the lanky grace of his father. He was wearing his Spider-Man pajamas, though it was two in the afternoon, and dragging his velvet cape behind him.

When he came back he had candy and popcorn and drinks for all of us squeezed into his arms. I grabbed some from him to make it easier as he sat back down. Ivy and Lex had chosen the very front but being this short I couldn’t really see them beside a little bit of Lex head poking out from the top of the seat. The lights turned low and the surrounding sound picked up loudly as the movie began, I think all of the guys decided to skip everything in order and watch one called spider man, there was some green goblin man in it. This young guy turned into a human soider and shot webs, it truly was crazy, I didn’t like spiders at all.

Jake watched a dark red slimy substance flow out from the top of the can, descending down its sides and began to slowly creep towards him, reminding him of Venom, the alien from Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. The scary gooey substance hissed and Jake could see small bubbles pop out of it like it was boiling. At one point, some of the substance lurched out at him, landing on his left arm which began to burn like hell. It felt like hot lava, smoldering his skin. He was just about to scream when someone put a hand on his shoulder. “Excuse me, is this yours?” The burning immediately stopped as Jake turned to find a young woman with glasses standing in front of him, her hand outstretched toward him,

Everyone was stunned. Butcher smiled. “Hey Alex, you’re just making this up, right? That’s just… too unreal.” Fairy Doctor said, “It’s true. I even locked one up in my Demon Tower Prison. It’s Shura Spiderwoman.” Butcher was surprised. “What’s that?” “It’s the amalgamation of a human and a spider.” “This thing… actually exists? How can a human and a spider even… do that? Is it a demon spider?” Bunty spoke up, “Oh shut up, you silly Butcher. Let Alex continue.”

"Are you deaf? I'm asking you to get out!" The spider man was furious when he saw that Zhou Tian didn’t move. This guy had a bad temper. When he was angry, the veins on his forehead stood out and he stared at Zhou Tian fiercely. As long as Zhou Tian didn't go out, he would lose his temper. "I'll give you a chance to reorganize your language." Zhou Tian's face darkened. He pointed at the spider man and said. The spider man completely lost his temper. He raised his big fist and rushed forward to smash Zhou Tian's face!

He says. "Now. I want you to get out of this car and place everything you're hiding on your body in front of you where I can see them." He instructs but I don't move. "You can move closer." He instructs into his earpiece and I instinctively look around. Flashing lights from another car appear and stops behind us. Another man with brown hair stops and moves to the back. I look between the car and the man beside me who holds a smirk. "I believe we haven't officially met. I'm the Spider." He says making my head fully snap to him.
