Every creature who heard the sound exploded like there was a time bomb on them. Standing structures and trees began crumbling as the storm grew, carrying things through the wind. Creatures and things were affected by the sonic effect, but never the people with the NC device. The sonic effect skipped everyone who wore the device, including KR members.

“Martello. You know him, right? It wasn't them, it was him. Who the hell was him and why am I just learning about him now?” Without turning back, he pivoted his head over his shoulder, his eyes darkened. “When you hear his name, run. Run, Sia. He's a nightmare!”

Kaelen roared. He charged the clone. The boy didn't move. He didn't flinch. He just pressed a button on his cane. A high-pitched whine filled the arena. Kaelen stopped. He grabbed his head.
