“Shut up, Viviane.” I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face as I turned toward the wardrobe, pulling out some of Evangeline’s clothes. She was petite—probably around 5’4” or 5’5”—a little shorter than me. At 5’7”, I usually didn’t feel small. Not until I stood next to Alessandro, anyway. The guy was a damn giant, easily 6’4” or 6’5”. He towered over me like a shadow, always making me feel like I had to look up just to catch his gaze.

I grumbled, folding my arms as I made my endless descent into the void. I leisurely looked all around but couldn’t see anything more than my arm’s length. It was like I was the light source, yet as I reached out, I couldn’t find a wall. How wide is this pit? I’m a good average height for a woman, damn it. I’m one hundred seventy-three centimeters. So, I’m not that short.

I answered with an honest look. "Okay, what about their heights?" he went on. "Uhm, I can't really tell exactly what their heights are because they are kids, but they should be 3 feet tall. Yes, 3 feet." I nodded in affirmation. "Okay, what about the lady?" Inspector Williams asked, staring directly into my eyes with observation. "Uhm, Anney should be 5 feet tall. She's a plus size," I replied. "Alright," he said, turning to Alex, the detective who was jotting down the whole interrogation.

That's when this handsome guy pulled me back into his arms. God, I can't face this attack of handsomeness twice. But... wait a minute! Since when did a werewolf like me recognize God? "It looks like you're okay. Do you need me to carry you to your house?" I shook my head. My face felt hot. I quickly let go of his embrace and stood at a distance. This time I managed to stand up straight. My gaze was glued to the man who was right beside the trash can. He was tall and slim. He reached at least 190 centimeters, very tall. Unlike me who was only 165 centimeters tall.

“I always forget how short you are.” Nora laughed as she looked down at me. “Hey!” She wasn’t wrong. I wasn’t exactly short but 5’7” is short compaired to all the model figures the werewolf community usually puts out. Still, I weighed around 130. I had muscle, but Chase has always said I had a very feminine build. Curves in all the right places, delicate and sexy. Still, I was a fighter by heart. Everyone saw my body and assumed I was going to cry if I broke a fingernail.

He slid underneath him, turned his body over and propelled himself over his shoulder. Alpheus was standing at 6 feet 10 inches tall, while Avery was 5 feet 9inches tall.
