Bitten

Bitten

“So you’ll rule the Vampire World. Why was the girl in the store afraid of you? I mean, she’s not a vampire.” I clenched my jaw. “She wasn’t too afraid.” “When you say Vampire World, it pretty much signifies all things mystical, fantasy, and mythical,” Jillie told her, giving me time to calm down. “Why?” “Because vampires are at the top of the food chain, followed by werewolves and so on. So they call it the Vampire world.” Jillie told her. “But werewolves are pretty much as threatening as vampires.” Kaileeh countered. “Sort of, but in order for a werewolf to be threatening, they have to phase. A vampire doesn’t. On top of that, in order for werewolves to make more, they have to have babies,

Wolfbitten

Wolfbitten

Her expression hardened with understanding, and without hesitation, she squared her shoulders and stepped toward the first corpse—the one with a gaping hole in his torso. I watched as her eyes glowed and flames burst forth. This time, the fire took on a blue hue, clearly stronger now that she’d finally eaten. At first, the body refused to ignite. Without accelerants like gasoline or kerosene, it took time. But eventually, the fire caught, its hungry tendrils licking up the limbs, curling over the corpse like a vengeful spirit. At least once a werewolf caught fire, it would burn all the way to the bones, leaving nothing behind.

This book is so good and the writing is superb! This is the 4th book in the series and it is just as amazing as the other 3. If you haven’t read them, I would suggest reading the other 3 first before reading this one so you will get to know the characters. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Before he could, I threw the bottle of wolf's bane into his face. Bazaar quickly motioned from me and his eyes began to shift. He covered his face trying to hide his true identity. "He's a werewolf!" a female screamed. Everyone was now seeing what he truly his. "The witch turned him into one," the female again screamed. I was appalled at her remark. "Do you see what she has done? Bazaar tried to fight the wolf's bane effect on his body. Unlike Kate, his body was strong enough to fight back. The wolf's bane was not enough to kill him.

BITTEN BY A VAMPIRE, MARKED BY A LYCAN

BITTEN BY A VAMPIRE, MARKED BY A LYCAN

I exclaimed and by now Dominic had already pulled me in his lap and tried to comfort me by drawing soft circles on my back to soothe me down. “Relax honey bunch. Everything will be alright,” he coaxed. No ! Nothing can be alright now !! Someone fucking killed a supernatural being- a werewolf in broad daylight ! And not to forget that he was one of the Dark Lord’s rogues !! I am so screwed if they trace me through him. “You are panicking,” Dominic murmured and before I knew it, he had bitten me by my neck and immediately after, I lost myself to the dark blackness of unconsciousness.

My Werewolf Prince Charming

My Werewolf Prince Charming

He ended up shaking his head in the attempt to clear the cobwebs in his head. "No… Roselle," He said wretchedly, finally regaining some bit of his sanity. How on earth had it come to this? He had vowed to himself that he would never let anyone bite his wife – not even himself. The humans and most Werewolves were not aware of this but once a human had been bitten by a Werewolf, there were actually certain changes that would start to occur in them. First was the scent of the blood of the human that was bitten would start to become stronger with time. Normally, a human's scent, as long as they are not wounded, was very faint to the point that most Werewolf could not pick up their scent if they

Brown fur glossed in the glow, matted with dirt and old blood; gold eyes fixed on them with a terrible focus, head low, nostrils testing heat and fear. Tom lurched up, wobbling on the bad leg, snatched the silver steak knife from his tray. “Leslie—behind me.” “Don’t be stupid,” she hissed, backing anyway. The werewolf crept forward, shoulders rolling, breath fogging in the cold. Tom threw. The knife flew clean and buried to the hilt in the creature’s right hip. It screamed—rage and pain braided—staggered back, clawing at the silver, then whirled and limped into the tent maze, swallowed by canvas and shadow.

Running with Wolves

Running with Wolves

her voice broke and she rested her head in her hands. “I’ve been a Werewolf all my life, I don’t know what it’s like to be bitten.” I tried to explain. I didn’t have comfort to offer her, just my friendship. “Bitten?” She asked, with eyes wide as saucers. “It’s the Werewolf’s bite that provokes the change. As the marking is a bite from the canines too, it will work just the same.” I explained “So, basically it’ll trigger a change in your body's composition, making you one of us.”

Because this place is too comfortable to be a place to study. “Werewolves can come from two things. Descendants, or humans infected from werewolf bites.” “You bit humans?” Elora glared in disbelief. “I thought only vampires were like that.” “We don’t intentionally bite humans. Usually, only the newly transformed and out-of-control werewolves bite humans. That’s why I asked someone to accompany you whenever you shape-shifted.” “So, if you’ve been a werewolf for a long time, you won’t bite people?” “No,” said Caspian, “unless you really piss me off. But I’d rather tear than bite. The thought of having human blood in my mouth makes me nauseous.”

“Nope! It’s all about the saliva. Our Were venom isn’t in our teeth. So swapping spit, bites, and licking the exposed flesh for any great period of time, like when I went down on you, Little Mouse, would do the trick. I’m your Alpha now. You can feel it, can’t you?” I gaped up at him, feeling lightheaded once more. “I need to lay down…” I murmured, pressing my fingertips to my temples. “You just rest, dearest, I’ll fetch you a cuppa tea.” He said benevolently, standing up and ruffling my hair. “By the way, you look beautiful as a Wolf.”

Bite

“You’re Nester Rist. Silver probably can’t harm you.” “If I was Nester Rist the full werewolf, that may be true.” He touches the tip of his finger to the knife, and it sizzles his skin. “But the rules are a little different for a wolfless hybrid like myself.” I freeze. My head spins as he pulls his finger away, wincing at the wound there. “You’re lying,” I bite, trying to convince myself that he really is. “Oh Olivia, I wish I was lying,” he retorts. “But I am the product of a one-night stand between my father and his human lover. If it helps, I have an older full werewolf brother, but I’m afraid we don’t talk anymore.”

Frequently Asked Questions

A werewolf, huh? Well, let me tell you, they're some of the most fascinating creatures in mythology and fiction. Werewolves, also known as lycanthropes, are legendary shapeshifters. Diving into folklore, a person becomes a werewolf practically by being bitten by an existing werewolf, sort of like an infectious disease. But there are also tales of folks transforming due to magic spells, curses, or even embracing a wolf’s skin or belt.

Once you've got the werewolf bug, when the full moon comes out, you're in for a wild night. The human body contorts, strecthes, and changes horrifyingly into a wolf or wolf-like creature. Think sharp claws, bristly fur, a lupine muzzle – the works. It's supposedly quite excruciating. But once in wolf form, the individual often loses all human consciousness, becoming primal, savage even, with unbridled strength and ferocity.

Of course, interpretations vary. Some convey werewolves as vicious monsters, while others highlight their struggle between human ethics and carnal wolf instincts. Authors write entire series about werewolf societies living in secret, with complex customs and hierarchies. You've likely seen such depictions in 'The Twilight Saga' or 'Teen Wolf'.

As for dealing with a werewolf, slaying methods range from silver bullets to wolfsbane, and these too depend on the teller of the tale. Wolves already have a strong place in human mythology and folktales on their own, and merging the image of a human with a wolf creates a potent symbol of our own struggle between civilized behavior and unrestrained, wild freedom.

So there you have it. Werewolves, complex and compelling creatures of the night. Just remember to keep some silver handy just in case the next full moon brings more than just a lovely starlit night.
