I don't know what baby pants are. Nina turns back to Thalia and puts on some gloves. She takes her out of her crib and walks her to the open-plan bathroom placing her on the counter. She slightly pulls down Thalia's pants "Aww baby mama sorry," she says and I try to figure out what's happening "I forgot to put on her diaper last night," she says turning to me and I chuckle remembering last night's incident. I'm pretty shocked we didn't wake up with headaches. Playing mimosa pong because Nina doesn't drink beer was an interesting choice of events. I learned that Nina is a lightweight which is strange for a person who mixes scotch and vodka.

I am positive that no one will arrange the chair we clattered, but as we entered, it was amazingly arranged back into the way it previously was. "Hey, Harp! Where did you dream the assassination?!" Emma asked. I can still felt her demanding tone. I tried thinking that dream again. "Shelf No.13.. near the center." I unconsciously said. "The book that the blind man has written have a book cover that has a big eye on it." "I see.." Nathan whispered and ran into the Shelves. After all, he and Ella hid there for a while. Maybe he managed to memorize them all. This Nathan.. how I wish I could be that smart, too.

She left her hair down and applied light makeup, then walked downstairs. Alessandro waited for her in an Armani suit, hair neatly combed. She gasped at his appearance. He took her hand. “Put this blindfold on,” he instructed. Lisa looked at him curiously. “Don’t worry. I know the way. Just trust me,” he assured her. Lisa smiled and said, “I trust you.” She tied the blindfold and linked arms with him. A few moments later, he whispered, “You can take it off now.”

Not a question. "I don't know what—" "Fire escape." She tapped the glass. "Third rung squeaks. I reported it last month. Maintenance hasn't come." She turned. Sunglasses off. Gray eyes. Clear. Focused. *Seeing me.* "I've been blind for three months, Yan. Cornea transplant. Sixteen years of darkness, and now I see everything." She stepped closer. "Including you. Standing there. Pretending." I stood. "Why?" "Why what?"

I wiped the cold sweat from my forehead, desperate to just grab my backpack and disappear into the shadows back to Jordan’s secure loft. "Emberly. Please just wait a second." I froze. I recognized the voice instantly. Nina stepped out from the shadows near the employee break area, pulling her thick winter coat tightly around her shoulders. Her face was pale under the flickering yellow light of the alleyway streetlamp, her eyes wide and red-rimmed as if she had been crying in the employee restroom for the last hour. I did not move toward her. I kept my posture rigid and defensive, channeling every ounce of masculine aggression I could muster to maintain my disguise.

Instead, I quietly opened the closet door, slapped my mouth over Jeremiah's mouth to keep him from speaking out, while I spoke to Daniel to mask the sound of the closet door opening and closing. "Threats and more threats, that's all you're good at, Daniel. But it seems it's escaped your notice that right now, we are both like blind men, and I'm the one who is most at an advantage. After all, I've lived like a blind woman for quite some time now."

|4 Months Later| The snores from Alana filled the room. Eva sat up in her bed. The pads of her fingers glided across the page of the book. One upside to being blind and reading a book? She didn't need light to read. Eva could read in the dark until her heart's content, Aside from Alana's slight snores and the thumping hearts from everyone inside the PackHouse. The night was quite serene.

"I didn't know gods still reside amongst men." "Nah, I'm no god. I'm just as normal as you are." Melinda smiled. "Nah, you can't fool me," I retorted. "I'm familiar with your game. At least, I ain't blind. Shit… I didn't mean to… I meant that even though I was blind, I would also feel the heavy invisibility aura you created."
