I developed insomnia and till this day, I'm not sure if I'll ever have a normal sleeping schedule. That's why I'm always working. I've grown so used to it that I can't remember what it was like not to work every single moment of the day," "From the day you walked into my office, looking dishevelled as ever. I wanted to call off the interview but then I talked to you, I asked you questions and not once did you do anything appropriate. You weren't the first female to audition for the spot and others made it no secret that they wanted more than they could be offered,"

Norah says excitedly. "Keep your voice down. You're going to get us fired," I scold. Everything about my job is pretentious. Its not everyday a mess like me gets to work at a place like this, and I have to work extra hard to be just as fake and uptight as everyone else. Norah doesn’t really try. She’s a little reckless, but in a childish and innocent way. I try to take care of her at work and outside work, her husband does everything he can to keep her out of trouble.

"Let’s just say some people earn their place through experience and hard work. Others… well, they take shortcuts." Nora snickered beside him, clearly enjoying the show. A couple of nearby employees had stopped what they were doing, pretending to be busy while discreetly eavesdropping. The tension in the air was thick, almost suffocating, but I refused to let it shake me. I exhaled slowly, shaking my head in amusement. "You know," I mused, crossing my arms, "it’s always funny how the people who talk the loudest about 'hard work' are usually the ones who do the least of it."

"If you will, I can arrange a position for you at the company." Jared looked at her with serious eyes. "A position? Forget it. I don't like a nine-to-five job. It is acceptable to spend time with you occasionally, but if I repeat the same thing every day, I just can't do it." Nicole was very true to her own thoughts, and she did not have to worry in front of Jared; she could say anything she wanted.

" I don't pretend to understand myself with a 9 to 5 job. " Liana replied as she packed her bag ready to leave this hospital. " So, what do you intend to do? " Jack was perplexed and asked.

Laura took another sip of her coffee, surprised that her best friend was often reprimanded by the big boss; even though Nina always worked hard, she was also among the smartest and most talented employees. "And where exactly in a nun's résumé does it say we're ignorant or lazy women? For starters, I speak four languages, which, if I'm not mistaken, is two more than you. I worked eighteen hours a day, ninety percent of the time in precarious conditions. I'm methodical, organized, and disciplined—so literally, you've never had an assistant in your life who could be better than me. Clear enough?" Liam opened his mouth a few times. Because, put that way…! "But seriously, it's not healthy for us to spend all day together." "Don't worry. If you hire me as your assistant, you'll only see me when you call me into your office. And as a bonus, after work, we each go our separate ways. Happy?" He narrowe

“Are you going to like that?” Lucas shrugged. It was the same job he’d had before. Back then, his work day had consisted mostly of showing up late and hung over, getting yelled at, and trying to shirk as much work as possible until they were allowed to go home. Lucas had better intentions this time around, but he wasn’t quite sure what the job would be like if he were actually trying to do it properly. “It’ll be fine, I guess,” he managed.
