The Eighth Time
There, my wolf growled.
But it was weak no matter how angry I was, especially after eight doses of potions.
Outside, Henry’s voice was soothing as he gently comforted Alice.
I couldn’t hold it in any longer, and one by one, tears slipped down my face.
When Alice finally giggled again, Henry walked back in.
He frowned when he saw me, unmoving.
“Nicole, why are you throwing a tantrum now?
“You’re my mate. Alice is my sister, which makes her your sister, too. What’s so wrong with helping her out and making a few things she likes?”
