“You act like I’m giving you a fucking choice, Sierra.” His voice is low, tigh and controlled only by a thread. For a split second, something flickers in his gaze, but it’s gone just as fast, replaced by that cold determination I both hate and can’t look away from.
“I’ll deal with the rumors,” he adds, quieter now, but no less firm.
