Chantelle's POV As Delcan asked me out, I could feel my heart racing. I knew I should say no, but something about him made me want to say yes. I could see the hope in his eyes, and I couldn't bear to disappoint him. I felt myself blushing as I gave him my answer. "Yes," I said. His face lit up with joy, and I felt my stomach do a somersault. I didn't know what to expect from this date, but I knew I was in for an adventure. I walked into my house, feeling a rush of joy. My uncle and his family were sitting in the living room, waiting for me to start working, but I couldn't bring myself to care. My thoughts were consumed by the upcoming date with Delcan.
