Chapter 51: The Sovereign Horizon The morning sun came up over the East River. Filled the Brooklyn studio with a nice bright light. This light made the room feel fresh and new. Elena stood by an old oak table. Her hands were flat on the table. In front of her were the real books of the Nora Vale Imprint series. The Nora Vale Imprint series was finally done. The covers of the books were simple and nice to touch. They did not have the pictures that people usually see on digital books.

One week later – Pacific Crest University, California The library was quiet. Too quiet. Nora walked in, hugging her books to her chest, scanning for an empty seat. “Finally… peace,” she muttered under her breath. She turned a corner and collided straight into someone. Books scattered across the floor. “Oh! I’m so sorry!” Nora dropped to her knees immediately. “I didn’t see you—” She reached for a book. Paused. Her eyes lifted. Her heart skipped.

There was a person who assisted and helped with the payment, also recommended a good book to buy. Irina sighed hard. That was all only in her dream world. She looked at to what Irina once saw. “You want to buy a dress? I decided to get started on a new book, so I browsed the sections, letting my finger trail through the spine of the books. There were so many conflicting thoughts warring in my head, and the only way to silence them, and shove Ryker and his bipolar self to the far corner of my mind was by plunging myself into a romance novel. I hoped. My fingers skimmed through the books in one section, and I paused when I saw a familiar name. Nora Roberts. I used to pride myself for having read all of her books, but I guess that was a bluff because as I stared at the old book on the shelf, the name didn’t ring a bell.

"Pleased to meet you." Nora's smile widened at my response, though there was a calculating glint in her eyes that didn't escape my notice. "Sara, how lovely," she remarked, her tone dripping with faux sweetness. "I'm Nora Roberts, a friend of Zack's."

She hated herself for that. That afternoon, Nova wandered into the sitting room with a hesitant question lodged in her throat. "Damian?" Nova asked, fingers brushing the back of the leather couch.
