Memories of a wolf

Memories of a wolf

65 In the midst of the soft whispers of falling snowflakes, I cautiously made my way beyond the grand doors of the snowy castle manor. The air was sharp and cold, and the floors beneath my boots were uniformly blanketed with snow. The entire world around me had transformed into a winter wonderland—so, this is the North. The castle's majestic turrets stood tall, resembling silent sentinels against the canvas of the pristine, snow-covered landscape.

Someone to Watch Over Me: The Thorntons Book 5

Someone to Watch Over Me: The Thorntons Book 5

Callie just gave her a wide doggy smile. After cleaning up, they pulled out Rose’s futon and curled up together. Although the sex was amazing, Seth had to admit he liked this part almost as much. Which meant he was turning into a total sap. He could just imagine what Max would’ve said: Watch out. You’re not getting out of that trap anytime soon, man. Seth moved his hand under his pillow, only to find a book there. He pulled it out. North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. “Oh, I’d forgotten I’d put that there.” Rose took the book from him, smiling. “This is one of my favorites.” Her eyes widened. “The hero’s name is Mr. Thornton, actually. John Thornton.”

Mommy, My Daddy Is A Billionaire CEO

Mommy, My Daddy Is A Billionaire CEO

When Debby dropped out of the train station, it was evening and she was hopeful that Sarah would take good care of her son. She had left Darkwood and had stepped just stepped her food into the terrain of NorthHill. North Hill was no different from Dark wood. The only distinction that Debby observed, was with the people that lived within. In Darkwood, everyone was stiff and would easily not answer to a simple greeting, talk more of even getting answers in dire situation. However, in North Hill everybody seemed to be getting along and when Debby believed she wouldn’t find Broderick’s mansion, she was easily directed to it, by some kind persons.

A Wolf's Equilibrium

A Wolf's Equilibrium

He straightened, scooping her up, and walked steadily out the skylight-turned door. Jane stumbled just to stand annoyed at how easy it was for the shifter to just breeze in and breeze out no stumbling. It was night, and the snow on the ground sparkled magically in the bright moonlight. After stepping over the mud mound holding the train car from rolling down she stepped to the side her feet breaking through the top crunchy layer of snow. Fog rose from her breath, it had not yet been snowed back home so Elizabeth was right, they did go north. Looking forward a beautiful valley stretched out, then up into the crest of a mountain range. The snow dotted with flocculent green pine trees, looked

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The Architecture of the Winter Lease The middle of the chapter was a stark, emotionally demanding transition from the romantic haze of our liberation to the cruel, un-optimized reality of the changing season. The New Wild was a magnificent draft, but it was a draft written in the northern hemisphere, where the sun was a distant, golden coin that spent less time on the horizon every day.

The Alpha's Dark Obsession

The Alpha's Dark Obsession

"Show no mercy when you find the murderers responsible, Jade. Make them pay for what they did" ... A year later. The human realm, Kingdom Of Northville. ... The sun slowly rose from the eastern horizon and brightened the magnificent city of Northville, welcoming its citizens to a brand new day. At the edge of the kingdom, hidden among the wild flowers and surrounded by the forest of the willows was a fancy cottage. The front door of the cottage swung open and a white haired young woman stepped outside, holding a basket of grains. "Kalista, don't forget to feed the chickens",a female voice called from within the cottage.

The Queen is Man

The Queen is Man

Every time Noah took a sip of wine, he felt her gaze carving into him, looking for the cracks in the facade. "You're very quiet, Lady Abigail," Charlotte said. Her voice was like honey poured over a razor blade. "And your accent... it’s hard to place. Which village did you say you were from?" Noah swallowed a lump of dry meat. "A small place. North of the ravine. It... it was burned during the raids."

Black Claw: Bound by Fate

Black Claw: Bound by Fate

She slid from the bunk, careful not to wake him, and hobbled out into the half-light. Nana was already up, rolling cigarettes in the station’s battered kitchen. She slid one to Elena, who accepted and held it but didn’t light. "You want to know what’s north," Nana said, not a question. Elena nodded. Nana lit her own cigarette. "There’s nothing, at first. Then, there’s a river, mostly frozen but still moving underneath. There’s the odd bandit, the odd desperate. But then there’s the city. You see it from twenty miles off. The towers are all still lit, and the sky is blue even in the night. People say it’s a safe zone. People say the machines run it better than the old mayors ever did."

Shadow Hunter

Shadow Hunter

Quanu was the closest of the Northern cities to the mining towns, and the one with the highest walls. Small farming towns dotted the expanse between it and the border of the Blacklands, and it was in these tiny communities that we'd stayed whilst searching for Nick, with no television or restaurants, air conditioners or shopping centres. It was the barest of the bare out there, and my uncle couldn't think of anything worse. "Will you be staying long?" "Long enough to start looking half decent again." "If only we could get your sister to see the same sense, though I am shocked it is you standing here and not her," he said, sounding a little too pleased. "And I must say your timing is nothing

A Life Debt Repaid

A Life Debt Repaid

Some coincidences really were bizarre! Dicky saw Nana as well. Lucas was beside her, sitting right behind their seats. "Are you going back to North City today?" Nana asked Cordy in surprise. "Yeah," Cordy replied. "We're going on a trip there, too. North City is the heart of the nation's economy, and I'd like to check out how grand the place is." Cordy wondered if Nana had some sort of compulsive socializing tendency. "It's a decent place," she said nonetheless. "You've never been there?"

This book is pure drama, no romance whatsoever. If you like Chinese dramas where the protagonists have one misunderstanding after another, are never in harmony and are some how out to back stab each other, then read it. If a drama is not your cup of tea, pass on this one.
Bronwyn Bailie
This author spoilt John and Cordys' characters, I don't see the respect for her even though he knows he basically raped her when she was 18. This author took "The enticing CEO's chosen bride$ and mixed the the characters personalities up, which is quite disappointing
