Chapter 45 The three young werewolves from the Gaia clan, Mary, Hael, and Kai, had embarked on a journey to the Water Nation, their hearts pounding with anticipation and a hint of nervousness. The Water Nation, renowned for its pristine waters and breathtaking landscapes, was about to host the annual werewolf competition, an event that brought together the most skilled and talented werewolves from all corners of the werewolf world.

I moved through them quickly, my ears tracking the sounds of the wing behind me. Census records from thirty years prior. There were a few small tribal packs who lived in the north but they had been known to live in hiding and did not like to talk to outsiders. Why would they suddenly appear here? And who were they with if it came to a fight? They had regular small conflicts with Leo but never really joined hands to attack him directly or even each other. They did not trust anyone and were prone to older ways of violence. So, what brought them here?

Author's POV: The Northern Pack of Hefternort had always been a mystery to outsiders. Famous for being extremely reclusive and bound by traditions, they preferred to keep to themselves, rarely mingling with other packs, let alone humans. They were probably the only packs which clung to the old ways of living like tribals, worshipping their forest gods alongside the Moon Goddess, and taking on the burden of preserving the ancient rituals long abandoned by modern packs. Known to be one of the powerful packs, they never cared about any competitions, and rarely even revealed themselves to anyone. They were invited to the Championship every year, but they never cared to show up.

The remaining warriors of Jerome and Trozan's clan were safely back to their underground home. The fallen have been buried. But their death and sacrifice were never forgotten. Without the intervention of the South, the North started to build their land on scratch with the help of the witches who were now residing on the northern part of White Mountain. Chaney becomes their leader and together they build a community up away from the feral werewolves. A treaty has been made between borders and hoped that it would never be broken again.
