Novel First Draft Example Novels & Stories

Not an official Council document with formal headers and coalition seals, but something written in the first person that sounded like what it actually was, one person trying to reach another before a situation became irreparable. I wrote six drafts. The first was too formal. The second overcorrected into something that read as pleading. The third was good but too long, losing the directness that the situation required. The fourth and fifth were variations on the third. The sixth, which I wrote at eleven at night while Lyanna slept and the house was quiet, finally had the quality I was looking for.

The distinction, they have agreed, is in the degree. The third section takes another hour. The fourth arrives faster than the third — this is always the pattern with a brief that has been properly incubated: the first half is excavation, the second half is emergence. She knows this and works with it, doesn't push against it. By the time Ethan brings tea at four, she has a complete first draft. "Done?" he says. "First pass," she says. "I'll read it tomorrow when it's cold." "Good habit."

With a flick of the bone pen, the bread-trees around us began to dissolve, turning into the cold, damp walls of the original schoolhouse from Volume 3.

Chapter 100(whew!!!) The Author's Yap If you've made it here... Hi. First of all, thank you. Seriously, thank you. This is my very first completed novel, and I honestly don't know how to explain what this journey has been like. Before writing this book, I worked as a ghostwriter. My job was simple in comparison. I was given outlines, chapter breakdowns, character directions, and all I had to do was bring someone else's vision to life. It wasn't easy, but there was always a map.

I ask her. "Come look at my novel. You can read some chapters if you like," she said, giggling. I scanned her laptop and saw that she has almost 350 pages for her novel. That's a lot of words. "I would love to read some of it," I replied, feeling excited at the prospect of getting a glimpse into Max's creative mind. Max opened up her laptop and showed me the first few chapters of her novel. As I read through them, I was impressed by her writing style and the way she crafted her characters and their relationships.

This is my very first book that I wrote, first of everything. I didn't know anything about writing so please keep that in mind ㋡ . As some might be in wrong grammar or not the correct phrases, Please bare with me as this is my only way of releasing stress and wheny thoughts were wondering . 🙂 Please be kinder with side comments as I am willing to learn and can be corrected. Some of the events for the entire story will be non fictional and fictional as some charecteristics and stories were based on my daily life experience.

She asked again but this time, it was so weak like she was already surrendering to him. The pain slowly faded away and was replaced by the feeling she had just felt for the first time in her life. He made her shudder and she felt her feminine throbbed. She never expected that she would feel that for the first time with someone she didn't know. The heat and lust are blinding her and wants to curse herself at the same time. His hand went to her hip and Nina knew that he wanted to touch her so she was so shocked to hear his angry growl then he ran out. And she didn’t know whether to be grateful or angry.

Three months of waiting while placing CVs in various companies still did not get results. I never imagined my writing would win that contest and become my money tree now. For one year, I worked on the first novel, and it has hundreds of chapters. Within a day, the number of readers in each chapter has exceeded the platform’s salary. My second novel is also booming like the previous novel, even though it only has 11 chapters. After a nightmare, my stomach was hungry, and I had to get my breakfast. “What should I cook for today? I’m so lazy.”
