Third Wheel
“Has something happened between Jackson and you to upset you?”
“No,” I immediately reply.
“I noticed you hid your notebook during the session.” She points to my journal in my hand. “Is there anything you’d like to share?”
Reluctantly, I open my journal. “I made notes for our next session to talk about my nightmares.” I take a steadying breath. “I’ve started having flashes, sort of like glimpses at a memory, but it’s not a memory.”
“In these flashes, what do you see?”
“It’s silly,” I explain.
