"Thanks." "You can have a seat," I gesture to the bed and she sits. Her eyes briefly move to my open laptop. "Writing?" "Mhhm." "How's it coming up? Are you having new ideas?" "I am." "Cool. I read a few blogs from writers claiming that sometimes, it seems like the screen goes blank and then when you think of giving up, the smallest thing will bring new big ideas, once you start typing, you can't seem to stop, words and new scenes keep flowing."

If Phoenix didn’t publish anything new in for a long time, people would think she might have deserted. I took out another big and heavy computer, which could run fast. I typed in the password and entered the desktop. There were few icons on the desktop, but two folders. One was for my electronic design manuscripts while the other was for my novel documents. I build a new document and begin typing. The document was named, “The Rule of Nine of Pillers.” After typing three words, I was immersed in thought. I had the idea of the story, but I just didn’t know how to start it when I was about to write.

It was a passage that resonated deeply with her, and she couldn't help but wonder who had marked it so deliberately. The words etched on the page echoed in her mind as she read them aloud: "There is something at the bottom of every new human thought, every thought of genius, or even every earnest thought that springs up in any brain, which can never be communicated to others, even if one were to write volumes about it and were explaining one's idea for thirty-five years; there's something left which cannot be induced to emerge from your brain, and remains with you forever; and with it you will die, without communicating to anyone perhaps the most important of your ideas."

An idea began forming for a brand-new story. Just as she started sketching out the concept, her phone screen lit up.

The thought of seeing things that other people couldn't still terrified her but she tried hard not to think about it by avoiding any book she can see other than school books and textbooks.

He left without further comment, and she sat a while with the folder closed in front of her, the day's ordinary correspondence still arriving in the tray beside it: a stronghold maintenance notice, two recalibration confirmations, nothing that required her to think this hard. She picked up her pen anyway. ‘Before institutions decide whether an idea belongs, they must first possess a way of recognizing that it is an idea of a different kind.’

“Milkon Tech is way ahead of us, and they’re getting more sales than us. We need a fresh innovation idea, something out of the box that's rare and can beat Milkon's new product.” I bit my lips for a while before answering. “Sir, I’ll think of something and get back to you before Monday,” I replied. “Tell me if you need assistance. I’ll assign people to help you.” What am I supposed to think of right now? Wait… If this is 2018, it means most things haven’t been produced yet, right? I got out my journal and wrote down a few products that hadn’t been produced in companies yet. After a series of compilations, three stood out to me:

I quickly sat down comfortably on a sofa in front of the window and opened a specific page among the thousands of folders, which contained inspirations, ideas that never materialized, fanfics, original stories, unfinished projects, and my newest novel idea.
