A Taste Of Something Better. “Wow, Mom, Dad? This is really delicious. It’s different from the pizzas I have ever tried!" Theo exclaimed. He kept eating and eating, his eyes gleaming. “Back at the orphanage, we’ve only tried Slice District and Crust and Crown.” Silas frowned, hearing that. Slice District and Crust and Crown were low cost pizza brands. They were good, but such brands often used highly processed cheese and canned tomato sauces. He was about to educate his son when Noelle beat him to it.

Or are you one of those chaos agents who orders anchovies?” “I’m a classic girl,” I said. “Extra cheese, garlic crust. pepperoni. Also, pineapple on a pizza is a discusting crime.” He gasped, hand to his chest in mock betrayal. “You wound me.” “I haven’t even started yet,” I said, leaning back and crossing my legs, letting the edge of my smirk linger. “But if you’re putting fruit on bread and calling it dinner, you deserve what’s coming.” He chuckled again, head shaking as he tapped at his phone.

My hard work was rewarded because when I rushed to the cafeteria, the kitchen helper was wondering if she should keep the last slice to herself or sell it. The owner of the stall was a pizza expert. His dough was so fluffy, and he loved adding pineapple to his pizza. The last slice of pizza glistened under the light. The melted cheese and pineapple chunks on top looked so very enticing. I found a spot near the window, added chili oil and chili flakes on top of my pizza, and scooped it into my mouth with my hand. The fragrance of the creamy cheese filled my mouth, and I let out a blissful sigh with my eyes closed.

I looked down at the pizza and the other packs of food and I quickly dug in to satiate my hunger. We ate in content silence. Julian devoured the chicken wings, leaving only one for me, but I didn’t mind. I was more invested in Pizza. It was the best thing after Iced Cappuccino, to be honest. He didn't seem to like cheesecake, nor was he interested in my coffee, but he ate a piece of pizza. “You like chickens?” I asked, looking down at the bones he had cracked open. “I like them better raw,” He admitted mindlessly, and I frowned in disgust. Raw meat? That was absolutely appalling.

I told him I understood, and would do what I could do to convince her to come with us. After finding very little as far as left overs in the fridge, I suggested we order pizza. There was a great pizzeria in the pack, and I could have it delivered pretty quickly. I had a menu in my office, so we made our way there to order. She stared at the menu for Powder Hound Pizza with full concentration. When she told me what she wanted, I decided to have the same. “I’ll have the jalapeno cheese sticks, a greek salad, and a large Pesto pizza with extra goat cheese. Maybe 12 buffalo wings with the red devil hot sauce,” she said. I loved that she had a healthy appetite, and liked things spicy.

So, what looks good for you?” I looked at the menu to see that was a pizza named Bianca with spinach and grilled chicken. The reason I see that it’s called that is the pizza has white sauce and not the regular red sauce pizza will have. There is also a meat lovers pizza with Sliced homemade meatball, sliced Italian sausage, ham, pepperoni. Yes, I want to try them both. I’m also hoping we can order some mozzarella cheese sticks, and also some chicken wings. I’m not sure how long I was staring at this menu, but I start feeling Asmodeus kissing my neck. “Did you decide what you want?”

Jane took them, her expression somewhat complicated. She looked at the pizza and seemed a little hesitant to dig in. "The chicken pizza is a speciality. If you don’t want it, I can have someone go get something else. The hotel will bring your favorite dishes soon. You can eat those first." Jane couldn’t quite figure out how she felt, so she shook her head and said, "It’s not that..." After a pause, she asked, "Do you want some?" Zachary’s expression softened, and a faint smile appeared on his face.

We enter and the bell chimes notifying the waiters or waitresses about the new customers.We find an empty table that would fit all seven of us and go to sit there. “So Lia what would you be having?”. Without changing my clothes first, I grabbed a slice of the still-warm Margherita pizza, taking slow bites while standing next to the kitchen counter. I kicked off my heels one by one, placing them in the kitchen corner, before taking another slice of pizza. The sauce with diced tomatoes and basil on a Margherita base was my favorite, enhanced by the melting mozzarella covering the entire pizza. I sighed with satisfaction before taking the third slice, but my gaze accidentally fell on a stack of letters next to my pizza box.
