Novel Raycila Novels & Stories

It filled the hollow left by her stolen wolf, filling it with something she had never known. Strength. Purity. Fury. Destiny. Her spine arched off the ground. Her hair lifted with the surge of energy. The soil cracked beneath her palms as light poured into her. Riley’s last breath drifted gently from her lips. “Thank you…” The light faded. The wind stilled. And the lake went silent once more. While Raya lay motionless for a moment. Then her fingers twitched. Her chest rose, steady, full of life. Her eyes snapped open.

“Have your nap. I’ll write up my article. I’ll be able to help you in time if anything does happen!” “Okay.” Xyla smiled kindly and patted Cordelia’s head lovingly. She was lucky she had her daughter all these years. She was the one who had been holding up this fragile family. Xyla closed her eyes, but it was not a sound sleep. Ricos Bridge, the snow-capped mountains in Sweltzar, the fireflies in Southeast Aciatic… These scenes flashed before her eyes, and she soon saw a young Janine. They were still in school uniforms as they cheered at the bottom of the Elps, motivated each other in the national library, and shone in various academic competitions…

*He can't be ENJOYING getting his ass kicked. *Maybe not* replied Rufias, with a smirk. *But I think he'd take all this and more just to learn something personally from you, Rayla.* Somehow, I didn't doubt that was true. And that thought made me happy. "Alright, Cil" I said crisply. I clapped my hands. "This time I'm going to teach you how to bite someone without getting grabbed in return..." ~

"Tomorrow I still have to go to the Hope Camp to deal with the last batch of 'patients.' And Celine is almost at the final stage too—I need to stay by her side and see whether she can awaken an ability. "Guillermo, don't disappoint me." Smiling, Ray took out his phone and started reading a novel. He had downloaded them all before the apocalypse—completed ones, of course. Any unfinished story would surely be abandoned forever, doomed to eternal hiatus. "I hate authors who drop their stories," he muttered, "but this time I'll let it slide. After all, this is a natural disaster—force majeure." Before he knew it, it was almost five o'clock. The sky, already gloomy, grew even darker.

Raya As I watch him being led away, the handcuffs clinking in his hands, I see the disappointment etched on his face. His eyes hold a silent accusation, questioning why I would betray him in such a way. But the truth remains unspoken – it is he who has betrayed me. He took the life of the man who had proposed to me, a proposal I had accepted out of a sense of duty and responsibility, choosing the harsh reality over the fleeting fantasy that Uncle Carlos had offered. At this moment, I stand firm in my decision, knowing that my actions were driven by a need to uphold justice and protect those I care about.

MAI'ALJANAU The sky was red; it indicated Aljannan Daji's bloodlust had risen. I began to pity the people of Rayuwa. Some families would lose their children to her blood lust. I knew famine was upon the people, but I did not think it would strike so soon. I needed to get my grandson to safety. I also needed to protect Binta. She was a maiden; Aljanan Daji was bound to select her out of anger for losing Safia's soul to another deity. I did not need to ride like a normal man. So I travelled to Muaz's compound by magic.

Raya said to Paula who was the head of the Renolds’ domestic staff and their longest serving employee. “Yes ma’am, I think it looks splendid, absolutely beautiful.” Paula replied, smiling. Raya smiled at her reflection in the mirror, she looked beautiful in the green evening gown which had been sent to her as a gift from Cecilia, Raphael’s younger sister. Cecilia felt really sorry for not being able to attend their wedding, she had tried to make up for it by sending Raya the gown which looked like it was made from the most expensive material Raya had ever seen.

Exactly one week later, Raya stood in front of Lucian’s door. She had dressed carefully for the decision she had made: a silk crop top with no bra underneath, and a short mini skirt that barely covered anything. Her long wavy hair fell loosely down her back. When the door opened, Lucian’s ocean-blue eyes dragged over her slowly, a low sound of approval rolling in his throat. “I see you made your decision.” Raya nodded once. He stepped aside. “Come in.”

But Rachel knew there was no helping her right now. She closed her eyes and looked away. Just as Lila was about to say something else, Raymond stabbed her as hard as she could in the neck with the syringe. At first, Lila seemed to be consumed by shock. Her eyes grew large and round as she tried to process what had just happened. Then a gasp escaped her lips and her eyes flickered to Rachel. Lila reached up to touch the syringe in her neck and at first, Rachel didn’t think the wolf’s bane was going to work. Maybe she was too strong of a Volana for it to take effect. Even her father began to look nervous.

What if—? My chest tightens with anxiety that threatens to crush me, but a strange stirring in my guts suddenly pulls me out of my spiraling thoughts. I clutch my belly, gasping. The sensation is foreign yet oddly familiar, like remembering something I've never experienced before. What's happening? I'm feeling… weird. ‘Daisy Caldwell. I am Rayla, your wolf. There's no need to squeeze me in.’ I jolt upright in my bed. ‘What?’ ‘I’m glad you're finally talking back to me. You're eighteen now. It's nice meeting you Daisy.’
