Novel Set In Italy Novels & Stories

Something was wrong. I sat back down slowly, my thoughts spiraling, it was an endless loop of tangled wire. What could’ve possibly happened? We were in Italy—far from the bloodstained streets, from the mess we left behind back in America. Luca and Matteo had been silent for weeks now. Wasn’t this the very quiet we’d feared? I looked around the villa. A soft breeze fluttered through the linen curtains. The vineyard below glowed under moonlight, the house was filled with the faint scent of aged wood and lavender. It was supposed to be paradise. Instead, it felt like a dream I was about to wake up from.

* * * * * * * * * As the plane touched down on the sun-kissed runway, Luciana felt a mix of emotions; anxiety, fear, and a hint of curiosity. She had never been to Italy before, and the thought of being trapped in a foreign country with the Morano family was daunting. Antonio stood up, his eyes focusing on Luciana as he gestured for her to follow him. Viktor fell into step beside her, his hand resting on the small of her back, guiding her towards the exit. As they stepped off the jet, Luciana was immediately struck by the warm Italian sun on her skin. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the distant hum of vespa engines.

He was tall like every other Remusian, tanned skin and short black hair. “Do you want breakfast, Fiorella?” “No. I'll make my own breakfast when I want. Now tell me where are we?” He eyed her amusingly for a minute. “Verona,” he answered. Her eyes bulged and she looked around the house immediately. “Really? Where is she? She came?” Avril rasped excitedly and stepped towards the couch. “No, Fiorella. Not your friend, Verona. We're in the city of Verona, Italy.”

‘This book is about the Italian Mafia, which is based mainly on the Italian mainland and Sicily. As such, when the main characters talk to each other sometimes it is in Italian, if you do not understand Italian I have translated the words into English in the brackets. The Italian speech is to make the storyline more authentic and I believe it enhances it. It will not distract from your enjoyment of the plot or the characters. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you

~ALINA’S POV~ The morning sun draped itself across the old stone walls of Castello Romano, casting gold through the stained-glass windows of the dining hall. It had been a long night—arriving in Italy after months away, settling in, feeling the weight of legacy and danger in the very air we breathed. But this morning… it felt like peace. At least on the surface. I sat at the wide mahogany table, a delicate porcelain cup of coffee in front of me, steam curling from its rim.

I asked with a smile. Niccolo smirked. “Take your flower?” “I mean, this is a little A Room with a View. Young, naïve girl gets seduced in the Italian countryside by a stranger that she barely knows. It would be the perfect setting.” He stroked my arm. “No. I’m going to enjoy you, Daniela. I told you that. And we’re taking this slow.” “You’re not going to get bored with me and decide that you want to go find some like, sophisticated model in Milan or something, right?”

“Aren’t you going to ask me why I jumped through a window? I don’t even remember doing it because I hit my head and now I can’t remember a thing. I don’t even remember getting on the plane or planning a trip but your boss said I am in Italy.” I told her. I wanted so much for her to be a good person. I wanted her to be on my side but the more I spoke, the more I realized that she might not be on my side. Not like I could blame her. she just works for him. it’s not like I expected her to help me or anything like that. “Is this really Italy?” I asked when she didn’t say anything after my first words. She nodded. “This is Italy and we are in Venice. At the Amore Riccardi residential villa owned

I nodded, of course I did, I was the one who brought in the tables from Italy to begin with. “Of course, I do.” I said, smiling at her. “The story initially took place at the Medici family Estate at Florence.” “I thought that your family was in Rome?” She asked, and I shook my head. “The original family Estate is in Florence. The one at Rome was one that Giuliano bought later.” I said, and she nodded, smiling at me. “They were a couple, in secret, of course, and despite the woman, Maria, not even from Florence, Giuliano used to love her. They met at one of taverns, she used to wear trousers and a hat to cover the fact that she was a female, and would go and drink with the men. It is said tha

Somehow, that bastard had found a way to rob me blind while hiding behind the position I gave him. "You need to come to Italy," Niel said. My gaze remained fixed on the dark city outside. The thought alone made me sick. Italy wasn't home anymore. It was a graveyard. A place filled with ghosts, regrets, and memories I'd spent years trying to leave behind. Unfortunately, business didn't care about emotions. "When?" "As soon as possible." I released a slow breath. "I'm coming now. Would board a flight." ~~~ Italy looked exactly the same. For some reason, that irritated me. The streets were unchanged. The buildings stood exactly where I remembered them. Even the atmosphere felt untouched, as tho

How had they even gotten here? It had been the second time they would go on Bianca’s whole entourage of dates, and they had been having an extremely relaxing conversation about whether or not Verona deserved to be crowned as the city of love just because William Shakespeare had made it the setting of Romeo and Juliet when there were many quaint, perfect villages and cities in Italy where people tended to fall in love more.
