Rise Above Rejection

Rise Above Rejection

I can't ever let him discover the truth behind my non-shifting. "Don't know." Oliver said. "It's not fixed. Shifting for traumatized people is different. It can happen after a vigor dopamine hit, or during extremely low phase, or when the person is hit by a traumatic experience again. From what I read, traumatized individuals need a trigger, and no one knows which kind of." I thought about it for a second and articulated, "So if I get bullied, which causes severe traumatic experience for me, will it trigger my shifting?"

I really love Caroyln’s story. Her sister Adelyn is such a bully and deserves her karma. The only one who ends up helping her is her mother Taylor. I’m glad she reborn and gets a second chance. I hope she finds true love and her wolf is a really powerful one with abilities and the moon goddess child

I’m loving this book, the narrative is beautiful, and Carolyn’s moving story captivated me from the first chapter, I really enjoy how the plot unfolds, as the story is original and wrapped with a touch of mystery

He walked over to us. "For now, she's severely dehydrated and bruised in multiple places. She'll be fine. I'll transfer her to one of the wards and run more tests to eliminate other issues.” "What about her memory?" Mira asked. "Is it gone permanently?" "I don't think so. What I'm seeing here is consistent with severe acute trauma. She suffered physical and psychological trauma. When the body and mind go through something extreme, the brain sometimes does this. It will shut access to certain memories to protect itself."

CHASING THE REBORN HEIRESS

"They do. But the people who know you best describe it as something closer to a personality transplant. Like you became someone else entirely." "Maybe the person I was before wasn't really me." He paused. "That's an interesting way to frame it." I said nothing. "Sophia, I'm not trying to trap you. If you experienced something traumatic at eighteen that changed your worldview, that's worth discussing. Trauma manifests in many ways." "Is one of those ways building a successful business empire and maintaining genuine friendships?" "Occasionally, yes. High functioning is not the same as healthy." He wasn't wrong. I hated that he wasn't wrong.

to make a sound. Nelly picks on the jar of water by the bedside and pours out some in a glass for her which she happily gulps on it without delay..." thanks...why are we here?" She was confused as to how they got to the hospital, the last thing she remembered was them being together in the training hall and..." oh my god! did I?" she was shocked at the realization and Nelly just nods her head. She was very relieved seeing her awake, and she looks better off after drinking water..." the doctor said you are suffering from Chronic trauma" Nelly tell her but she just nods her head, not feeling shocked by what she said..." how long were you planning on keeping it away from me?" even though she a

I nod. "Of course." I pull the covers back and climb into bed with him. Cole shifts to the other side to give me some space to lay down facing one another. He looks so troubled and frightened it broke me so much. The nightmare must have been of the crash. Dr Bennet did say most patients that suffer trauma from accidents often block out the memories in fear of reliving them. "Tell me something about you," Cole utters, looking at me. I bite my lip thoughtfully.

I absolutely adore and love this book! The dialogue is fantastic. It's funny, witty, smart, sexy, better than real-life. Great ear for the back-and-forth. The storyline did not drag. Pacing was just right. She brought real emotion to. Congrats on telling a beautiful story with exceptional characters

The Racism Antidote: Love Like Jesus Does Racism begins with a lack of love. You can’t love someone like Jesus does and harbor prejudice in your heart toward that person. It’s impossible. We must love everybody the way Jesus loves them.  Jesus gets very specific about this in John 15:12: “My comma

Wolf shifter romance with murder mystery

Wolf shifter romance with murder mystery

When Ironwood tries to use his trauma against him—suggesting that someone who was so thoroughly fragmented can't be trusted with Council authority—he responds with quiet dignity. "Elder Ironwood, you're right that I was fragmented. Thoroughly, catastrophically fragmented. But I survived. I healed. And that experience gave me insight into consciousness trauma that no amount of academic study could provide." He looks around the circle, making eye contact with each Elder. "How many wolves in our society suffer from consciousness damage? From absorption trauma, from consciousness attacks, from integration failures? Hundreds. Maybe thousands. And we've done almost nothing to help them because mos

Fated to the Alphas - Chased by Chaos

I was not certain if I would be able to use my light if my body was paralyzed, but I would assume that I could since it did not require movement to command it. We talked for a while longer as she walked me through some coping mechanisms to use for times when I was overwhelmed like I was earlier. Before that, though, she made sure I understood that trauma was trauma. It did not mean that one’s trauma was any less than someone else’s because it was significant and affected the person. I was thankful that she pointed that out to me because I had always felt that my troubles were minimal compared to what others had to go through. My mates were impatiently waiting for me inside the suite. Both of

While I’m waiting, impatiently, I’ll go reread the others. Thank you for continuing with this. I’m so invested in the characters that I want to be retired so I can read them all the time. The world you have created is on par with the separation we are dealing with today and you bridged the gap.

Sugar Daddy Vampire

Sugar Daddy Vampire

“Every time I close my eyes, I see him. I see what almost happened.” Melinda cradled her face, steady as stone. “That’s trauma talking. Your body remembers danger even when your mind knows it’s safe. It doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you survived.” Zoe’s breath shuddered, her fingers gripping Melinda’s shoulders as if anchoring herself. She tried to let the warmth around her burn away the shadows. She wanted so badly to give herself fully to this moment, to Melinda, to the life she almost lost.

In Love With The Dangerous Professor

No one deserved to suffer in that way. But that sympathy did not make her any less dangerous now. If anything, it made her more unpredictable and consequently more lethal. Trauma allowed people to do things they would never have believed themselves capable of before it shattered them. It took away the moral inhibitions that had prevented most people from crossing certain lines.

However, it has helped me overcome my excruciating agony. However, after meeting Aron, I felt as though all of my prior trauma had begun to resurface. I read my novels again to inspire myself when I'm feeling down, but I've never dared to pick up this book again. Every writer's journey begins with a traumatic life event. I believed this to be true because it was my first book, which I began writing in an attempt to forget about Uncle Joe. The sound of my phone buzzing brought me back to the present. Seeing an unknown number on my phone, I received a call out of curiosity.
