Ninety Days To Be His

Ninety Days To Be His

Its sprawling branches offered ample shade and a natural, enchanting setting for the couple's union. He called out to his loyal men, a group of trusted friends and staff members, instructing them with a warm and confident voice, "Let's set up the canopy right here, under the oak tree. Make sure it's beautifully adorned with flowers and drapes, creating a magical atmosphere for Elena and me." The men, all too eager to contribute to this special day, swiftly got to work, transforming the area under the oak tree into a fairytale-like wedding setting. They adorned the canopy with cascading flowers of various hues, adding an ethereal touch to the surroundings.

Ashes Under the Willow Tree

Ashes Under the Willow Tree

In the corner stood the apple tree, its base carefully wrapped in burlap. The sight made her eyes redden again. From the nearby village school came the sound of children reading aloud. "The sun is big and bright…" Jennifer followed the familiar voice and looked toward the classroom. She saw me standing at the front with a textbook in my hand. After returning home, I had applied to teach at the village elementary school. My Cyrus would never have the chance to attend school, but the children in the village still could. After class, I carried my lesson plans toward the office. At the end of the corridor, Jennifer stood waiting in her crisp military uniform.

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

Charlotte’s POV Five Years Later… Five years, apparently, could change a lot about a burned forest. There was still a long way to go, of course. The oak we’d planted at Elena’s grave barely came up to Nora’s hip, which Ellie had informed us this morning was technically called a sapling and not a tree, and Nora had promptly informed her little sister that she was being a know-it-all, to which Ellie stuck out her tongue. But the rest of it had come back. Slowly, stubbornly, and at their own pace. The undergrowth had returned first, then the smaller trees, then the birds, and this spring the canopy had finally been thick enough in a few places to cast some shade, although not much.

My Blood Wizard System

My Blood Wizard System

m. I’m sitting cross-legged on the cedar stump where Elowene’s tree used to be before the black fire. The valley is still mirror-blind. The air smells like spray paint and broken glass. I close my eyes and fall inward. Mist-space. The orchard is darker than I’ve ever seen it (stars gone, sky the color of old blood). Dacia is waiting under the bare cedar tree. She’s not the towering eight-foot warrior-queen tonight. She’s my height.

Return of the Luna Queen

Return of the Luna Queen

Trecking up to an old oak tree on the old outer walls. Everyone knew this was the tree that Thomas Black had harvested an oak tree seed and planted it in the village. But I had no idea that it was even more woven into the Black family history than that. “You see,” Steph had told me, excitement evident in her voice, “It wasn’t until Granny had said about the Oak tree that I began to think. She mentioned that the tree in the ruins was planted by Melinda Black, sown from a seed of an oak in her hometown.” She gentured to the massive oak that towered about us. Its lush green canopy stretching out at all angles.

I love this story but I wanted her to return to Alexander. It's too heartbreaking. No offense about Landon but I don't see why she needs another mate. I doubt Alexander got a second chance mate after she left.

September Ends

September Ends

" Serina firmly said while Paul nodded at her, promising that this must happen, at whatever cost that hinders on the way. Then both of them walk out together from the shade of the oak tree. "It was a promise witnessed by this century-old tree." "I doubt that tree is that old." "K-Town had lots of history and myths!" "Yeah, I know...kinda weird on how non-sense some of the myths are." "The tree witnesses us, so you better do it, unless you want to be buried." Thus, the promise at the first of September started at the grass field, below the oak tree were two people that had bonded deeper than tree roots, made a promise unto one another...

The Plus-Sized Bride No One Wanted: Too Fat to Love

The Plus-Sized Bride No One Wanted: Too Fat to Love

Three hours had passed without me noticing a single minute. I looked down at the open sketchbook. The drawing covered the entire page. The oak tree stood strong in the center, its heavy branches casting long, shaded light across the grass. In the foreground, the small yellow lilies looked almost real, their thin petals catching light made entirely out of unpainted white paper. It was detailed, neat, and sharp.

The Final Medical Bill

The Final Medical Bill

She was not the victim. She was the one holding the pen. She reached out, her hand dripping with silver and gold fluid and grabbed the root of the oak tree. She did not try to block the data; she opened the floodgates letting her grief, anger and memory pour into the tree's network like a virus. "I'm editing the ending Miller " she whispered. The ancient oak tree screamed, the wood splitting down the center, as a gold discharge tore through the bark racing down into the root system like a lightning strike.

“Do you want to see the oak tree? It is where most of them live too.” Rosalyn blinked. “What’s an oak tree?” I lowered my voice slightly like I was about to tell her the world’s greatest secret. “It’s a magic tree.” Her eyes widened instantly. “It is?” I nodded seriously. “It holds all the secrets in the world. Everyone tells it their secret, and it has seen so many generations and so many people, and it knows everything that is there to know.” Rosalyn gasped softly. “No way…” “And,” I added, glancing briefly at Mia before looking back at our daughter, “it’s your turn to tell the tree one of your secrets too.”
