"Oh, that’s cool to know. I hope this one will be better than the one for the trials. My child loves to eat cake and other pastries a lot. “Okay, I’ll do that, Luna.” “Anna, I was up at night trying to search for different cake designs you would love. Immediately you dropped the call; that’s when I began my search, and I picked out five best that I think you would love.” Cassandra picked up an iPad on her desk and began to go through it, then turned it to show Anna. Anna took the iPad from her, and we scanned through the pictures. The cakes were so beautiful; they were gigantic with a lot of layers. “I can’t seem to pick any of the cakes. They are all so beautiful.” Anna cooed.

" Charis yelled. "I love you both, thank you." Looking up at them, I said. "We love you as well, baby." Let's eat some cake now." Jenny stated. I set aside my gifts and amused Jenny and Charis by cutting the cake and giving them each a piece. My favorite cake was red velvet, with buttercream frosting and chocolate ganache. Kas’s POV “Are you sure about this?” My wolf Elexis asks when the timer on the oven goes off. “Absolutely.” I say confidently. “I refuse to be a prisoner in our own home, Lex.” I pull the cupcakes out of the oven. Carrot cake caramel. I’ve been experimenting to perfect the recipe for my bakery for weeks so we can add it to the fall menu. The little browned mounds of cake finally look perfect and smell like heaven. I set them on the cooling rack and make a few notes in my notebook before I go get a shower.

It had a list of cakes and images next to them along with the name and description of each cake. “The two I’ve brought for us to sample first is a cheese vanilla cake with mixed berry compote and crushed raspberry cream and the second is a lemon-scented cake with classic cream cheese and lemom-zested cream,” Kristina says as she points from the white and red layered slice with a dark purple cream to the yellow and white layered slice.

Anya shrugged, sitting cross-legged on the edge of her bed. “I like reading. And drawing. But…” She hesitated, then looked at Penelope with wide eyes. “Do you know how to make cake?” “Cake?” Penelope repeated, smiling. “I love baking. Why?” Anya’s face lit up. “Really? Can you make my favorite? It’s a chocolate-strawberry layer cake. But it has to be perfect!” Penelope leaned closer, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. “Perfect, huh? Well, I’ve been known to make some pretty good cakes in my time. Should we give it a try?”
