LUNE
“Long day?”
“Very,” Lune replied, shedding her jacket and letting it fall onto the nearest chair. She walked over and settled beside him on the couch. The familiar scent of his cologne filled her senses, grounding her after the whirlwind of the day.
Arlo raised his glass. “I thought you might need this.” He offered it to her, and she accepted it with a grateful smile. She took a small sip, savoring the rich flavor of the wine. It was a welcomed distraction, and the warmth spread through her, easing the tension that had built up throughout the day.
