Tying my hair in a ponytail, I headed to the bathroom to wash up but the moment I saw my reflection on the mirror, my feet were rooted on the floor, and my eyes were glued on the dark marks on my right shoulder blade. No, no, how could these marks be here? To get a closer look and to make sure that I was not imagining things, I stepped closer to the mirror. So, looking at my back for the first time, I had nothing to compare it to aside from the night of the party, but it didn't look so bad. Most of my back was a greenish yellow color, but some spots were a bluish-purple. I could see quite a few spots where my mother had broken skin, looking like light pink dots. Overall, my back was healing nicely, and the fact that I could turn and look at it was saying a lot.
