“But if fear turns to doubt, you’ll lose more than allies. You’ll lose your throne.” Elias entered at that moment, his boots echoing with every step. His presence was like gravity—Serena felt it instantly, grounding her. “We’re not losing anything,” he said firmly. “We’re preparing. The people will see that.” Nyra nodded, finished her final symbol, and stood. “Then prepare faster. The Council won’t wait forever.” She disappeared in a flash of purple mist. Serena let out a breath and turned to Elias. “There’s something I didn’t tell you.”
