I laugh and stand on my feet.
“Call it a hidden talent, if you will.” I sit at my vanity and pick up the bottle of lotion that I like to use. Funny, I know. Do I need lotion? Probably not, but it’s just another one of those human inventions that I enjoy.
I watch Nyx in the mirror, taking in her features. Height isn’t a thing for us; we can change our size at the drop of a hat. If you were to see her, everything about her says ‘dark,’ but it’s a beautiful one. Her hair is long, past her behind. It has bounce and volume, perfectly framing her face.
