I was fighting the urge to run up those stairs into Lance’s apartment and nuzzle into his neck. “Hi…I’m Nyah!” She smiles at us both in a confident manner. And she had every reason to be confident, she had deep glowing skin, orange hair, green eyes, was of a typical she-wolf build, tall and slim, and a beautiful smile that I’m sure melted hearts back at her pack. “Hi Nyah, this is Blake and I am Aida!” I warmly shake her hand before sitting down on my bed. “How was your journey here?” I ask removing my muddy trainers.

“An old statue. Dark stone, shaped like a coiled serpent with a bird’s head. It gives off this powerful kind of contained energy. Our scholars are too busy and occupied to research. Ravenna thought your knowledge of rare magical objects might help us understand it.” He kept his voice neutral, just as Darius had instructed. Nyx’s lips slowly curled into a chilling smile. It wasn’t warm. It wasn’t friendly. It was the kind of smile that made Dalian’s spine tense. She stepped back and opened the door wider with a sweeping gesture of her hand. “Come in, then,” she said smoothly. “It sounds like your questions are far more interesting than the usual nonsense about pack politics.” Inside Nyx’s cab

I forced a gentle smile. “Morning, my love.” Zephyr watched me with eyes still droopy from sleep, his small fingers rubbing the sleep from his cheeks. They sensed tension even when they didn’t understand it. Both of them had inherited that sharp, instinctive intuition.

Cressida said, bowing slightly, “I have something you’ll want to see.” Nyx was sitting behind a desk of liquid glass that reflected the endless sky, her long silver hair drifting as though underwater. Her robe, midnight-dark and embroidered with threads of moonlight, made her seem carved from the stars themselves. Without looking up, Nyx spoke, her voice calm, melodic, and sharp enough to freeze the air. “Speak, Miss Cressida. You have my attention,” she murmured.” Cressida swallowed hard. The clouds around her pulsed faintly with her heartbeat. “Vice Principal Nyx… I’ve discovered something. Something that concerns the Four and the new girl, Seraphine Vale.”

Casually, he pressed the green button. The electric chair immediately came alive. Currents surged through Nyx’s body, causing her to convulse violently. Then Daxiel switched it off. Nyx stopped shaking and coughed violently. Daxiel turned it on again. And off. Again. And off. He repeated the action as though he were merely playing a game. Only, there was no amusement on his face. Nyx’s eyes had turned bloodshot by this point. Fresh bruises covered her body, and she could feel the blood in her veins drying up from the pain.

Beta Jerome readied his wolf to surface. Nyx got excited. Wolfing out will be her pleasure. “You are not to going to hurt them. They are already safe, somewhere where you can’t lay even a finger on their skin.” Fabrics came ripping off on her body. Furs commenced emerging on her skin until she had fully shifted. Nyx let out a melodious howl. It will be loud enough to reach Alpha Lachlan; loud enough to tell him she is fine. Sebastian found himself sandwiched between two big black wolves. Nyx’s wolf is smaller than the yellowish wolf Beta Jerome got. However, he can sense a stronger force coming from Nyx’s wolf. Both wolves bared their teeth, showing the prowess it holds.

Her cold, jade eyes watched as the bodies were slashed apart by her snakes, the entrails slowly starting to bulge from in between he deep gashes in the muscles. A little tendril wove its way up her arm, covered in blood. She used two fingers to wipe some blood from it and lick it. “She was expecting, how delicious. Have fun, my pets. I have some more searching to do.” Nassiri walked away, letting her pets do what they pleased with the corpses. ~Erys/Nia~ “Nyxie! Snap out of it! This isn’t the time or place!!” He tried to shake her shoulders but the blank expression stayed. “Fuck!!” He ran to the window and whistled as loudly as he could.
